Only 30 degrees. The worse the weather the better our chances. Kato's making the trip to Kent tonight, but is listed as our #3 QB behind Gibson and DeShields. Pound that rock, Zips! Keep their D honest, Gibson. Get loose, Jordyn Riley. Go Zips! -

+1. I hate losing to Kent. So I most certainly dread the possibility of getting blown out on The Mother Ship. Keep it close & make Kent sweat. I rewatched the OU game and boy does Gibson have A LOT of moxie. I love it, but I don't think he's quite ready to lead us to a victory in this game. Crum may be the best QB in the MAC. Jordyn Riley is going to have to have a whale of a game. -

Yeah. He's definitely undersized at 5-9, 205. Reggie was a 1st Team All-Ohio D1 pick at LB his senior year, but his size obviously dictated the coaching staff envisioning him as a DB - that and his dad played CB for the Zips & then the Buffalo Bills. He looked pretty good at safety during the Spring Game 2 years ago. You're probably right in that it indicates our lack of depth at the LB position. -

Missing those games hurt badly. Those were perfect non-con opponents for our young team. We possibly could have picked up a couple wins. MAC East (save BUGS) is a gauntlet this year and then from the West we drew a WMU team with a 5th-year senior-laden OL. -

I picked us for the win simply because I couldn't bring myself to vote for a 21+ Kent win. I was hoping for rain to slow down Kent's offense, but no such luck. It is only scheduled to be 35 degrees at kickoff, so maybe that will slow their passing attack a little bit? Crum's awfully good. Hopefully we can continue to run the ball successfully and keep Kent's offense off the field/our D fresh/run clock. So many advantages to being able to run the football. I've already mentioned how much I'm enjoying watching our OL develop. But our DL is awfully young too. DL getting the most PT are #11 Nazir Sy - R-Sophomore #97 Janirr Wade - true Freshman (don't believe he played in game #1 - made a difference) #67 Logan Hawkins - R-Sophomore (don't believe he played in game #1 - made a difference), and #94 John Mitchell - Senior (Senior Ja'Quize Cross started Week 1 but didn't play last week.) A freshman who hasn't played yet but whom I'm excited to see on the DL is Deacon Allen. He's listed as 6-1, 290 and was a state-ranked wrestler in high school. I like wrestlers - they know how to use leverage & have good balance. Our starting LB's also have a couple/few more years to reach full potential: Bubba - R-Junior (I'm digging the fact this year doesn't count against eligibility) Brandon Bischof - Junior Ryan McClain - Junior, and Julian Richardson - Sophomore Two linebackers I'd like to see more of are R-Soph. Reggie Corner (undersized but a natural baller) and R-Freshman Quevan Lawson - one of our higher rated recruits and has great size at 6-5, 240. (I haven't seen Quevan at all - I'm thinking he's probably sick.) -

GoZips dot com has nothing about the "Beach Bubble" Gulf Coast Showcase. They list our first game as being December 19th at Kent. -

Game moved to 8:00 on ESPN. Ohio -v- Miami cancelled due to COVID-19 issues w/ OU. Um... if OU has issues & we played them just last week... ? -

These Tuesday night games sneak up on you. Only 2 more days till game day! Kent is playing really well right now. But if our OL continues to play well & we can win time of possession rushing the ball, we can hang with anyone. -

I'm not sure either of these guys started last night, but two new players who made impacts on D last night were True freshman DL Janirr Wade (6-4, 288) and JUCO transfer OLB/DE Ryan McClain (6-4, 245) Both these guys helped the DL stop the run last night.

He's got a little too much Brett Favre in his head... but not in the arm. Lol But this is true and at this point is extremely important. He's only a sophomore and the team plays with confidence with him lined up at QB. I LOVE Dollard. Man, have we desperately needed a legit RB for a few years now. So refreshing to see. My favorite Zip! Perhaps I'm biased because I'm also a 5-8 white guy? ? This OL is going to be the reason Arth turns this program around. I've never heard of 4 freshman starters on the OL. They're already full grown men and playing so well! They stopped the run and forced a few field goals in the red zone. They forced punts. Would like to see a little more pressure on the QB, but now I'm getting too demanding... I agree. He really cost us last night. I was thrilled when we signed him - his high school tape was excellent. I played corner & RB so I, naturally, like to watch and evaluate those positions - and I think I can, IMHO. I though Riley looked amazing. But he just gets beat left and right. Do we not have anyone better on the roster? Didn't Randy Cochran play more last year than he's playing this year? He started last year, didn't he? Loved it. We played two solid halves. Only the 2nd time we've done that under Arth. In hindsight we should have gone for it on 4th down with about 5-minutes left in the game, but at the time punting it away was probably the correct call. Kent is a buzzsaw! ? I'm thinking the same. December 5th we could get one in the W column! ?

That was Barberton's own Keye Thompson. Soph. LB. I followed him rather closely his junior & seniors years of high school & was disappointed he didn't stay home to wear the blue & gold. Off the field he's a nice guy. He got pretty dirty that last series though.

Thanks. I think that was Gibson. Lol

I was, yes. (Sorry - just saw this.)

It’s not nearly that bad. I see reason for hope. Never had a whiff of that with iCoach. Huh?

Good game. More than I was realistically looking for. Dillard’s awesome. OL is hon abs dominant in another year.

Matthison must be hurt.
