ABJ: Canton's LePear Toles commits to play basketball at the University of Akron starting in the 2018-2019 season This is why I love following & recruiting the local kids: “Akron has a winning culture,” Toles said. “They have won at least 21 games the last 12 years, and it is home."

Another huge, watershed game. This is a very winnable game. For us, I consider any winnable game a must-win. Ball State is 2-3 L (21-24) -vs- Illinois W (51-31) -vs- UAB W (28-13) -vs- Tennessee Tech L (21-33) -vs- Western Kentucky L (3-55) -vs- Western Michigan As 94zipgrad pointed out, a W this week would move us to 3-3 w/ 2 almost-certain losses looming (WMU & Toledo). That would leave us at 3-5, needing to win 3 of our last 4 games heading down the home stretch of the MAC East schedule. Lose this week and we'd have to sweep the MAC East to go bowling.

Fighting to maintain the status quo. You can see it when you're on the outside looking in. Super annoying. Power Five privilege. Lol

Bowden mentioned in a presser not too long ago, just last month IIRC, that the staff focussed on NEO & western PA. After that they look to Florida. Toledo & Columbus are in play, but he said something about, with air travel, nowadays it's as easy, if not easier, to recruit Florida as it is southern Ohio.

@ZipWatcher, you can add SG LePear Toles. I believe LePear will be playing JUCO ball this year, then coming in next year as a sophomore. We're pretty log-jammed with this current freshman class. If I'm not mistaken, next season we're gonna have EIGHT sophomores??

Larry Williams hit a home run in hiring John Groce & Larry Williams is a football guy. He's likely already got his short-list of candidates on speed dial; might be looking for a reason to give his #1 a call. Bowden's in Save-His-Job mode. I have full confidence in Larry Williams. Heck, #5 YSU just beat #4 South Dakota State last night. Bo Pellini's only 45 minutes away.

Troy just scored again. They've got LSU's D looking gassed in the 4th quarter. 24-7 w/ 8:14 left in the game.

Thanks for the update, Doc. I feel sick for him.

Got lucky there

? KB4 ?

Edwards follows up a nice run by getting tripped up by the Turf Monster. Lol

Good job D

Love AD1. Hardest hitter on the team at 165. Lol

Get a stop D!!

Nice call. Well executed. Had me fooled

Edwards is slippery

1st catch for Booker IIRC

Thanks for the updates on our winning team. Please keep them coming

Good job UG5. At least we're only down 3.

It's what it almost feels like. Almost.
