  1. I have reviewed the tape. The evidence clearly shows that I was not one of the ones who dropped Zippy on her head. And I apologize for the MAC Basketball game. I was not exactly what you might call "sober" when exiting the bus. Come to think of it, I still don't think I'm exactly sober yet. Did we win or lose? I can't even remember.
  2. This is interesting. I agree with Antonio, but not with a few of the others. While it is exciting having the basketball and football champions close together, I could not live with myself attending any classes on a Can't State campus. The only time I was at Can't State was for the "Infiltration," and I'd like to keep it that way. I mean, nothing against the school or its students, but it's just that I hate the school and its students. No offense.
  3. Does anyone know when the AK-Rowdies should be collecting their rewards from the season? (i.e. shirt, shorts, JT jersey) I remember that they said they were going to be recognizing people at the final men's home game, but I didn't notice anything. The AK-Rowdies website still says that the Grand Prize is to be determined. Anyone got any info? I'm not trying to sound greedy, as I already won a promotion, but I was just curious about this.
  4. It's too damn far to travel for me as a student. No TV is a huge bummer. Maybe one of the big channels will pick it up since it will be John Chaney's last game. Yea, that's right, I'm callin' a win!
  5. I partially agree with you here. Can't State deserved the Mac championship, they have the most mature team (with 4 seniors), very good leadership in Haynes and inside presence in Warzynski... I hope they make some noise at the big dance and make a good show case for our conference. But that Toledo team sucks big time, they are 7th seed and they didn't beat us because they're good, we lost to them because we played our worst game of the season. Looking on the bright side...that wasn't the worst game of the season. The Nevada game was the worst game of the season!
  6. It definitely appeared as if Toledo wanted it more!
  7. To the K-E-N-T fans who posted above me. I appreciate your kind words. It certainly is tough sitting at home...and the game just ended about 3 hours ago, and it's already rough. The normally 40 minute ride home seemed like it took 4 hours.
  8. I was at the "blizzard" and it definitely was a "blizzard." I recall walking from our tailgate spot, yea we tailgated! On the way to the game, I recall saying, "What the hell are we doing here?" But then again, I have faith in my teams! If I'm gonna follow a team it's because I believe in them. Your fairweather Can't fans can lick my ass! Where's your football team?
  9. Hey RooWho! I got a ticket for ya! Here it is...
  10. I could have actually lived with myself if we would have legitimately lost to K-S-U tomorrow. This is just too hard to swallow!
  11. As far as this "Winking Lizard" deal went....I am 21 years of age...so I got in. But unfortunately, I watched as all of my friends got turned away. This is straight up bullshit. If you are going to sell tickets and say that the Lizard will have specials, and say that it is the official pregame site of the Rowdies, I'd love to see ALL the Rowdies in there. This was a huge joke! I feel bad for all of the people who bought this "deal" ticket hoping they were getting a good deal. I would have loved nothing more than to have partied with my Rowdy friends. I know a few of the Rowdies who are under 21, and they would not have tried to sneak beers. This entire experience in Cleveland was joke!
  12. As much as I hate to say it...K-S-U is gonna rock Toledo tomorrow...unfortunately, I don't even care anymore...
  13. I'm pretty sure that tonight's showing will be much better than yesterday's. I know a few people that are planning on coming tonight who couldn't make it yesterday. I think we should all travel together in a pack. I didn't go yesterday, so I don't know what pregame was like. But we should all get Rowdy at the Lizard and then walk to the Q together. I don't really know how this will work, because I know some will want to stay at the Lizard and booze it up, but others will want to see the Can't/OU game. We'll have to figure something out on the bus.
  14. Absolutely. I missed yesterday's game along with a lot of other folks I know because we had classes we couldn't miss. I have a feeling tonight will be a different story!
  15. That is AWESOME! You can definitely tell that's from the Can't game. Just listen to that crowd when they show that retarded eagle! Anyone got a link to he Chris Berman shoutout from Sportscenter?
  16. From what I understand, the AK-Rowdies will become a student-run organization, much like any other club or organization on campus. I can see them electing officers and holding general meetings. I think it would be a huge disappointment to lose Matt, but it definitely wouldn't mean the end of the Rowdies. Whatever happens, I want to wish the best to and thank everyone involved in starting and maintaining the AK-Rowdies this year!
  17. Here's another good prank:http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=27506
  18. No offense, but I'd hope they're saying they're gonna beat Akron. I'd feel real bad for anyone who goes into a game, especially one that could potentially be the last game of the season saying, "Well, we're gonna get rocked tomorrow. But it was a good run." Also, of course Miami wants WMU to win. It will be an easier game for them in the finals.
  19. I'd like to invite anyone to contribute to this week's issue of The Rowdy. It will be done differently this week. Based on who wins tonight, the one-page issue will include all cheers against the seven remaining possible opponents. If anyone has any cheers against anyone we might be playing, please send them to Golliein@aol.com before Tuesday evening. Get creative. Look at rosters, stat sheets, and think of goofs on their school.
  20. Yo, I definitely feel you on the cutting of the lines. That was ridiculous. A lot of the people I saw cut were people I've never seen at basketball games before. The worst part is that a few people I saw that cut weren't even screaming and supporting the team. I know there were 300 people in the top who would have gladly taken their spot on the foor. As far as the Rowdies not hitting the floor, we were stopped as soon as we tried. A security guard jumped right in front of us as we were planning on leading the cry from the north side. After the game, I heard from a Zips employee that the security guards were a formality and they we could have gone around them without any drama. But I wasn't willing to risk it. I've been to most of the games this year, and I was not going to jeopardize my plans of going to the Q because I stormed the floor. But I do feel that none of those ropes or securty guards should have been in place. OU ran the floor in midseason after they beat the Zips. We just beat Can't! It was a time for a fiesta!
  21. I need to say that Darryl Peterson had an awesome performance on senior day. Let's look forward to more of that in Cleveland!
  22. The Rowdies were awesome again today. Even better and louder than the OU game! I saw a lot of defeated faces at halftime, but we never lost faith. Let's roll into C-Town and show Can't what it really means to be "MAC Champs!"
  23. I think that might have been the loudest I've ever heard the JAR! Awesome job to everyont there! Also, by the way, I want to state that from what I saw, Can't's and Akron's fans were all pretty classy. Not a lot of dirty jive being slung in either direction. Awesome game!
  24. It's just going to be passed out at the game. We figured after the meeting last week the students will know how it works. I don't know yet if there will be meetings before the tourney.
