  1. I just looked on Ticketmaster and I'm surprised there are still upper reserved seats left (GA seems to show pretty good availability too). For the game against Ohio those were sold out a few days in advance.
  2. Same for CMU without Fowler.
  3. @DiG I agree about the wording. I also find it interesting Ohio would win a two way to breaker against Akron, but finish second in a 3 way tie breaker to Akron (with EMU). Gotta love the unbalanced schedules.
  4. FYI... After I posted this morning, I tweeted Jeremy Guy for clarification. He responded a little bit ago and confirmed division record is skipped if not determining a division champ.
  5. I read it the same way you originally did Dave. I thought it is only used to determine a Division Champ, other wise it would be skipped. I thought that's how its been in the past (see tie for 6th last year and 8th in 2012). Did you find some clarification to the contrary? If it is skipped and Akron loses to Can't while Ohio beats Miami, Akron still gets the 4 seed if EMU beats Toledo to make it a 3 way tie for 4th. Akron has a .750 winning percentage vs the tied teams (2-0 vs EMU, 1-1 vs Ohio) Ohio is .667 (1-0 vs EMU, 1-1 vs Akron) and EMU is winless against Akron and Ohio.
  6. Plus the days off were more balanced. Previously, missing out on a bye meant a game Monday then Quarter final with the byes on Thursday. Now its a game Monday, travel Tuesday, game Wednesday before playing the first teams with byes on Thursday, then another rested team on Friday. And that's just to get to the championship. I'd be surprised if a team seeded below 4 wins.
  7. I've only seen him once, but, I'd keep an eye out for Freshman PG Zavier Turner as well. Hes the teams leading scorer (13.4 PPG, 12th in the MAC) and assist man (4.2 APG, 6th int he MAC).
  8. I watched the game last night and always like hearing Dino Gaudio do games. He seemed to have good things to say about coach Dambrot, UA and the MAC. He is a MAC guy (Ohio grad) who used to be the head coach at Wake Forest. I also just heard him at the end of the Oregon State/George Mason game say that he expects to see both Akron and Iowa State in the NCAA Tourny.
  9. I'm surprised Elton ranks Dayton (RPI 35 / has a win over then top 10 Gonzaga) behind UC as well. RPI of Ohio teams: (from RealtimeRPI) 15 OSU 35 Dayton 48 Toledo 69 Ohio 70 Xavier 73 Akron 99 Cincinnati 101 Youngstown St. 120 Bowling Green 136 Can't St. 168 Cleveland St. 170 Miami 326 Wright St. Right now the MAC has 3 top 100 teams (Toledo, Akron and Ohio). Whens the last time that's happened? Hope all three teams can stay in the top 100, even if it's just to help bump up a seed in March.
  10. They're playing one OOC game tonight and in the 2K sports Classic this weekend, so they get 4 games this week. Why such a long layoff for Akron? 11/16 to 12/2 with only an exhibition game seems like a really long time.
  11. I saw this website on the Ohio board and thought some people here might be interested. It reminds me of the old ESPN Passport, but I think I like this a little bit better. I signed up and thought it was pretty cool, especially for a free site. bbpassport.com let's you know exactly how many games you've attended, arenas you've seen, and what your favorite teams' records are when you're there. They have games as far back as 1980. You can also create a bucket list of arenas you want to visit, accept various challenges, and plan a road trip. http://www.bbpassport.com/
