    It appears the Illinois women's volleyball team has not played since their 3-0 win over Iowa on November 24, 2012. Can't get enough Illinois sports info.

    It has happened numerous times. For example, In the 29-30 season the Zips won 36-27, in the 30-31 season the Zips won 28-25, in the 31-32 season the Zips won 21-18, and in the 32-33 season the Zips won 38-16. Each of these games was played at K.S.U. with no games between the teams played in Akron those years.

    I've read that the other players didn't believe she was his girl friend. 1st paragraph I haven't seen anything that says they didn't think she existed.

    A ruse! Are you kidding me? He first met her in person in California, visited with her in Hawaii, talked to her over the phone. He was going to introduce her to his Dad, but just a few days before that was to occur she ended up dying. This situation is so much like my own, however, I must admit the similarity is weird.

    Hey, his story is perfectly believable. Do you think he is so cold-hearted that he made this up right around the time his beloved grandmother passed away? I feel for the guy. The exact same thing happened to me, twice, when I was an undergrad at Akron.

    I think Deadspin is setting itself up for a defamation of character lawsuit. I attended that poor young lady's funeral. It was officiated by the Reverend George O'Leary who coincidentally was also her attending physician at the hospital where she died. Someone there mentioned that he was also a coach at Notre Dame for a week. He is a very versatile and talented individual.

    We should have gone after the Jerome Lane from Firestone listed on Scout.com. He's 6'4' and 215.

    I am not ripping the team. In fact, I have thought for a least a couple of decades that hockey is the one sport we could add that has a chance to become financially self-supporting. Most club hockey teams that I am familiar with routinely get 5 years out of a few players; and occasionally six (sometimes involving a player name change).

    I don't believe my question could have been any more clearly worded. How many of last years seniors are with the team this year? Also - any seniors from two years ago still with the team?

    I think 6 of those 8 teams have earned the right to a relatively easy conference schedule.
