  1. I would agree with you. However, if RootforRoo44 is going to include Romeo, Dru, and Jeremiah Wood on the list for not quite living up to expectations, then Ken Lolla should also be on the list for the same reason, in my opinion.
  2. This will probably be controversial with some, but I would suggest adding Coach it can't be done at Akron Ken Lolla to the list, especially given that he has been proven wrong.
  3. Former Zip Ben Speas (Columbus Crew) is also out, having had sports hernia surgery according the MLS injury report. Enjoy the game anyway.
  4. I don't either. I'd prefer UA make better decisions on its own and not hire someone with this kind of "baggage".
  5. That's great to hear that Shaka is among those coaches who recognize the grass isn't necessarily greener elsewhere.
  6. Yeah, glad to see Chris (spelled it right this time) in there; wish DC was playing better. Besides Kitchen and Hamid being in Nashville with the U23's, they have the following injuries: D.C. UNITED -- OUT: MF Kurt Morsink (L foot neurectomy); DF Ethan White (R knee inflammation)
  7. Thanks Bobbyake for finding the Youtube version of the highlights. With 4 of our pro Zips being with the U23s in Nashville and Zakuani still rehabbing, playing time is down for our former players. I'm sure Zarek would have been in the game with the Impact if he was there. Zemanski came in during the 2nd half for Chivas, but the goats don't look good again this season...not scoring goals. No Blair Gavin and Mattocks didn't get in for the Whitecaps. I'll be interested to see if Kris Korb gets on the field with DC today (I hope).
  8. Several mentions on Steve's twitter.
  9. Nagbe scores 3rd pro goal! equalizer at about 50:30 in Dallas off a bad defensive play by Dallas. 1-1 final Timbers, FC Dallas Edit: Darlington's goal at about 3:50. D didn't play 1st half but started 2nd half.
  10. Go Rams!
  11. The other positive is that for every game OU advances the MAC picks up an additional $1M+, spread over 6 years, I believe.

  13. Nice find folks. Thanks.
  14. Unfortunately that applies to Dayton because the NCAA play-in games are in Dayton.
  15. Of course I'd prefer the NCAA Tourney, but the NIT is a good tournament. Best of all, the Zips get to keep playing...more playing time, more experience against good teams.
  16. Awesome! Thanks Yaz. I got chills watching that...U-S-A! U-S-A!
  17. Am I missing something in the following? I don't think Livingston got this right. Ohio's upset of Georgetown in 2010 the league's lone NCAA Tournament victory since 2003. The Bobcats were seeded ninth for the tournament that year, although they had the league's third-highest RPI (Ratings Percentage Index), meaning aficionados knew Ohio was a dangerous team. Such a team would have to play three more MAC Tournament games to reach the semis under the new format. This year a team seeded lower than #4 has to win 5 games to win the MAC Tournament. Previously, such a team had to win 4 games. That's only a 1 game difference. Where does he get 3 additional games just to reach the semi-finals?
  18. Add me to the list. CONGRATULATIONS ZIPS MEN'S BASKETBALL! Great regular season. On to the MAC Tourney.
  19. Thanks for that link Yaznasty. Great interview...fun. I was fortunate enough to find a link to watch the game (after I got home from the JAR). It was fun listening to Caleb shout out instructions from the sideline. I was waiting the hear him yell "Perry!..."
  20. Nice 2-0 win by US U23's over Mexico in a friendly in Frisco, TX. Valentin, Sarkodie, and Kitchen played the entire match. Bunbury came on during 2nd half. Agudelo and Diskerud (Adu assist) scored in the first half. http://www.ussoccer.com/News/U-23-MNT/2012...Mexico-2-0.aspx
  21. Perhaps you should read the article. It's about WBB, not MBB. The Lady Zips play Buffalo tomorrow.
  22. Except for the EMU game, the Zips have been not been playing to their potential since the K ent game. It's okay against lesser teams, but not ORU and OU. Coaches and players better find a way to put it together, or it could be a HUGE embarrassment losing the MAC Regular Season Championship / Tournament #1 seed at this point.
  23. I wouldn't worry too much. They still don't even know how to spell Souders.
  24. FC Dallas loses to 9 man US U23s, Brek Shea ejected Kofi also was ejected after 2 yellow cards, but Caleb Porter's U23 side still prevailed!
  25. +1 Where's our Zips who won at Mississippi State?
