  1. And that pass floated out there. Akron fans aren't the only ones who can question their team's play calling.
  2. TOUCHDOWN Zips!!!
  3. They lost 71-64 in OT, but was closer than the final score.
  4. I get that, but I would have like to have seen another game or two in between when the break ends and the kent game - if that was possible.
  5. I'm not saying they needed 8 or 10 non-conference games, but would 4 games have been asking too much? Our first three conference games are going to be tough. It would have been nice to have a few more games to work out rotations, minutes, etc. prior to our conference schedule.
  6. It is nice to see the Zips picked at the top, but I wouldn't give those pre-season polls to much weight. Where did they have us picked last year? Maybe 4th in the East?
  7. It looks like no fans allowed. Only family and maybe the band, cheerleaders, and dance team at the school's discretion. https://getsomemaction.com/news/2020/11/24/mens-basketball-mac-announces-basketball-attendance-policy.aspx
  8. ESPN is listing it as well.
  9. You mean the 2018 team that went 4-8 overall, 2-6 in the conference, all losses were by double digits, and ended the season on a 5 game losing streak?
  10. Dollard is impressive.
  11. The wheel has come off the wagon.
  12. I think part of that may be the fact of how they changed parking lot assignments. When Info opened in 2009, a friend received a lot 9 parking pass while I received a lot 5 pass. We tailgated in lot 9 in many of those games. It may have changed the following year, but those lots were given to the big donors who would show up at game time.
  13. He wasn't picking a fight. An OU player knocked the ball out of his hands then gave Gibson a shove - which Gibson didn't take too kindly.
  14. The line is OU by 26.
  15. This never gets old.
  16. The schedule is out. https://gozips.com/sports/football/schedule Three weekday games and three Saturday games.
  17. That would give him more reaction time when the T-shirt cannon comes out.
  18. The difference this time is that there will likely be a large number of programs being cut across the country. Some of these students may not be able to find a scholarship somewhere else.
  19. No. He made it sound like the 23% cut of $4.4 million is something he obtained from an inside source. No insight into which teams might be cut. George indicated that he talked to John Groce. He made it sound like basketball coaches have agreed to a 10% reduction in salary.
  20. George Thomas is set to be on Baskin and Phelps at 11:05 AM. Will he have any insight?
  21. I agree about not having the influence over sports that was suggested. The state schools include schools like CSU Bakersfield, CSU Fresno, CSU Fullerton, etc. It does not include schools like UCLA or Cal. A post above mentioned Central Michigan being open to students in the fall. My daughter will be attending Bowling Green in the fall. As of right now, BG is planning on being open to students on campus. Across the country, I think you will have a range of decisions from no students, some students, and all students on campus..
  22. I'm sure the teams in the West would love having to play everyone in the East twice.
  23. I'm not sharing an Akron championship with another team! National Champs!! ?
  24. As did AAC, BIG 12, and SEC.
