From the GT stats it looks like the game is being played in the wrong end of the field.

I was super impressed with DeAndre Yedlin's play against Cleveland State. Wow, talk about speed coming out of the back! Here's a nice article about him which discusses a lot of his expectations being a Zip.

I called the ticket office a couple weeks ago. Was told they are postponing mailing out tickets to see if the new seating will be ready in time. It will affect peoples' requests for different seating (like mine).

I just heard from someone at Fox Soccer Channel that the Zips will have one home and one away game broadcast this fall. Will try to find out which ones.

Kennedy is doing the NC-Louisville game right now. He is an MLS ref. Penso is a northeast Ohio native and has also done some MLS games. Don't recognize the other two.

Anyone know what the delay was after Akron's goal? Ref went over to Cal bench and players cleared field for a short time.

Getting back on topic... North Carolina and SMU knotted at 1 apiece at the half. SMU struck first within 5 minutes on a beautiful diagonal ball with the attacker splitting two defenders and slotting it home. Not to be out-done, NC follows 5 minutes later on a cross into the mixer that gets poked home by an unmarked attacker. Without taking away from the quality of the goals, both were, in my opinion, defendable and should have been cleared. BTW, it's north east Ohio's Chris Penso in center and Brian Miller on the near side. Can't quite tell who the far side AR is.
