also on 1350 AM if you can get it (poor reception in many areas around here)And if you can't get reception, 1350 also has a radio stream (handy for us out of towners):http://www.sportsradio1350.com/main.htmlBeat me to it. I'm listening now.

The game just got picked up on Gozips. Is that a free stream?

I'm heading up there today. It rained last night and I didn't want to take my camera out in the rain.If you forget or don't have time I planned on bringing my cam to class tomorrow.Do me a favor and take a pic of the top left corner though, nearest the tennis courts
-
I signed it with "Brian G_______ says KSUcks"someone should have put zipsnation on there though.
-
haha yeah I was going to post those as well. Her other one is from the same POV but when the team comes over.

Well for those of you who didn't go to ESPN.com to look at the postgame report, or don't have the proper player, I went ahead and ripped the video and threw it on my UA youtube page...The video is still processing. Let's hope YouTube doesn't remove it as copyrighted material...

Heck yeah! I was the one who ran down to the top of the AK-Rowdies at that point with my homo-... I mean home-made UA blanket draped over my back! The stadium renovations are great, though. It looks very classy. It's almost sad that they can't put a good product on the field. Oh well, at least we can say they might have one of the better stadiums in the nation when they drop down to 1AA!!!

Just saw THIS and thought folks would get a kick out of it. Great insight, as usual Cap. Here's hoping we get over that .500 hump for good this Saturday. See you all at the bowl, stop by and say "Happy Birthday" to yours truly...GO ZIPS!Hahaha only at Can't State. That Can't Statecks sign has been everywhere and the Rowdies always find a way to whip it out at a Can't venue.lol I was in the B.R.A.I.N. friday night when Willy started making that sign. There was another one in blue paper with yellow letters but I was behind it and couldn't read it. What did it say? I heard it was "CAN'T EAD CAN'T W ITE". Can anyone confirm this?

Great write-up. Always enjoy reading your insight CK!

Sometimes being superstitious can bite you in the ass. I spent the entire second half of the fourth quarter and 99% of the OTs behind the bleachers because every time I watched from the stands we did poorly. However when I was not in the stands we won.In the second half, when we were down 21-17 I turned to my buddy and said, "Next big play wins the game." And as I was walking down to go behind the bleachers, Can't muffed the punt and we recovered. Sure enough I ended up being right.I sat behind the rowdies in GA and the atmosphere was electrifying. They sure make their presence known, don't they?Jacq played terrible most of the game, and the play calling was subject to questioning as well. But the defense got the job done when they needed to(boy do I hate how weak the 3-3-5 is against a mobile QB) and we somehow squeaked out a victory. I think next week will be a lot different at the RB.Anyone know when Andrew Johnson is coming back?

I also was at the game 2 years ago and honestly I hadn't followed our team very much so I wasn't sure what to expect. This time I know we are the better team and will prove it tomorrow.Zippers 38Flushes 17

My first year at Akron two years ago I made the trek to Can't for that terrible game and I plan on going there this weekend. However my mom will be attending the game with me so I don't want to sit by the Rowdies(no offense guys) like I did last time. I'm assuming with General Admission I should just sit on the opposing side somewhere? I don't want to mix in with those piss colored shirts. Where do you guys recommend? I have a decent idea of what the stadium looks like relative to the scoreboard.

I see Ball State as 31 on there. They also received a few votes. I'd be surprised if they did not go unbeaten this season and end up in the top 25. It's theirs to lose, their difficult games are out of the way(except for a clash with WMU and CMU later on in the year). I am actually rooting for them to do well. I know after they showed Indiana up there was actually talk of a BCS bid. Since the Zips have already lost to them I feel comfortable saying "Go Cards!"

Does reserved mean I have to sit with the Can't fans or will we have a section all to ourselves?

Just so it is clear --1.) #3 for Akron is Dennis Kennedy. #3 is not a defensive lineman. He is a running back. 2.) Quarterbacks are allowed to throw balls to running backs, receivers and tight ends while in the pocket. If you notice, such instances happen...oh, I dunno...maybe 60-80 times per game?If any UC fans aren't clear on this NCAA football rule, a rule which applies to pretty much all levels of HS, College and Pro football, them please send them the link to my description. UC fans seem to like links.apparently you guys missed GoZips88's post because IMO he is the only one who really saw the play. Some of you need to take your blinders off and realize that Jacq made two stupid plays in a row that cost us the game. It reminded me so much of last year it's frightening. Amen. Jacq got scared and threw it into the ground. Bottom line. As a quarterback you have to be aware of the line of scrimmage and the pocket. Jacq was out of the pocket. There was NO reason for that ball to be thrown behind the line of scrimmage.Overall though I was pretty impressed with how we played. I'm not gonna lie, I was very worried when UC marched right down the field and scored right off the bat but our guys stayed in it and fought. Yes penalties are frustrating but they are part of the game, just like injuries. The better teams are those that can overcome the penalties called against them.I was very impressed with Tuzze's play yesterday. For a big guy he sure can explode through the hole. IMO he should be playing every down once we are inside the 10. I am kind of concerned with Kennedy though. I don't think we can count on him to get us through the rest of the year, but we shall see. I also like the reverses to Bruce. Does anybody know if he can throw a ball? We ran three reverses that all netted us positive yardarge(I'm pretty sure) but I would love to see him pull up and toss one downfield much like our flea flicker play with Kennedy. Our Defense played with a lot of heart yesterday. Bryan Williams and Kevin Grant are such a pleasure to watch play. I still hate zone coverage but I still think our guys are playing it well.

sorry for the double post but here's a hopefully positive quote from an ohio.com article: http://www.ohio.com/sports/zips/29848429.html

I was just wondering if anyone has any information on Andrew Johnson? I didn't really see the play all that well. My dad was listening to some audio feed and the announcers said he has a neck injury. Let's hope for the best. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts. If anyone has any info please let us know as soon as possible!

Shesh you hate to see that happen to anyone especially someone of his caliber. Such a shame.
-
Thanks guys I'm glad you all enjoyed them. I had a good time taking them. Yep, exactly 1 year from this instant our team will probably be thundering through the band and onto the field!!! I can't wait.

I'll go with a 31-14 win for the Zippers. I wonder if I can sneak away from the other half long enough to stop down at the OBC and meet some of you guys! If not where can I watch the game?

Hey ZNO I'm thinking I might take a walk over to the site and snap some pics tomorrow if possible. Anything I should be focusing on? Obviously the home side will have most of the focus as I'll be coming from the South Quad
