Listening to the Urbana game on the 1350 stream and I just turned it on to hear that the Zips are up 59-15 with 15 minutes to go in the second half. Urbana has only made 5 field goals. That is just unreal. Are they just that bad or is our defense dominating?

wow. That is just bizarre. I saw a lot of groundscrew on the field the past few days. Maybe they overworked the soil and as a result our field is a mudpit? Seems odd that both the location and the day changed.

Story of the season. Offense tries to keep up with the points the defense gives up and by some miracle we get let back into the game only to have our defense let us down in the end. I have never in my life been ashamed while leaving an Akron football game until tonight. I can't believe I convinced myself to waste my money driving 3 hours away for that.And to fight back to get yourself back into the game only to lose on a botched play that goes for nearly six. Ugh. I am disgusted. I can't give up on JD yet but there needs to be some major work done.*edit* here is a stat that I just discovered on my own. Before the Buffalo game we were 13-0 since 2001 when we've scored at least 40 points. However after today we have now lost two games in a row with 40 points or more. Thus we are now 13-2 since 01. What does that tell you about our defense this year?

Well I am considering going down on saturday for the OU game. I know it's a hell of a drive but I've driven further in my life.If anyone has been could you give me some tips on the best route, where to park, where to eat, etc. as I've never been and I am only going down for saturday.

Last night's game really expresses how much of a close-knit community we are. I think everyone is on the same page with this loss and it's the first time I've seen it since I came to the U of A 3 years ago. I haven't missed a home game in two years and last night was hard for me. I can't imagine what those of you who have been doing it for 10, 20, and 30 years must've felt like. But everyone seems to be putting it into the right perspective. We fought hard and that's really all that we've ever wanted out of our guys. Unfortunately the cards came up short for the good guys but all we can do is look ahead to the end of this year and the beginning of a new era at the Info. That was the most electric atmosphere I've ever been a part of and I can't wait to do it again next year at a brand new facility. While I wish I could've had more, I still say thanks for all the memories, Rubber Bowl. They will not be soon forgotten.

I'm sort of at a loss for words after this one. Such a disappointment. UB played perfectly. We put the ball on the turf twice with two turnovers and they put the ball on the turf twice without losing it. Yet they still tried to let us win the game and we couldn't do it. I can't help but to be disappointed with the team on this one. The referees were awful but they did not lose the game for us. We lost 16 points tonight on 2 FG misses, a delay of game penalty forcing us to punt, and a dropped pass in the endzone. This one should have been a blow out in our favor.But, shoulda woulda coulda.

I just got off the phone with the Main St. Ritzman pharmacy and the lady said they have vouchers so I will be heading up there around 4 to pick mine up for my parents..

oh god, let's not get started on the bus situation. Last week they somehow thought that it would be appropriate to use 4 buses to take students to the game and only 2 to bring students home. Many were left for almost an hour after the game.However the bus issue should not be a problem this game. Apparently it has been addressed.
