The link I had to that video now says that the video has been removed by the user. Not sure why...Thank god I have a plugin for my Mozilla that allows me to rip any file from any page I am on. I have the video and I'll upload it onto the tube myself since it appears whoever made it does not attend this board or it would never have been removed. I'll try and remember to do it tomorrow!

Not the best start for the Zips. 6 turnovers in under 9 minutes is not good! This UMass team is too good to be turning the ball over so much. Defensively we've done so well to defend the outside ball but somehow they're still getting clean looks and draining them. Miah isn't playing too poorly but we definitely need some support from our other guys.

Can't will never win if they come down on a fast break and miss a three. I'm beginning to wonder if we're the only team Can't knows how to defend.

Yeah I watched ESPN last night hoping to find some sort of coverage. You know, maybe they might want to put on there something about the lowly 6 seed from the MAC beating the 3 seed powerhouse from the ACC... but nah, cuz' Matt Ryan practiced in the pro compound so that's 10 times more important.It's disgusting.P.S. GO ZIPS!!! Needless to say I was stoked when I saw it at my girl's place. I couldn't wait to come home and read the board! let's hope we can play hard enough and shoot the ball well.

Here's a point that no one has made about the JUCO stuff. Someone said you get players that will win you the game regardless of academics and their actions outside of basketball. While I know you want to win and all there's something you need to remember about that.We are a midmajor school. How many of these kids are actually going to play basketball professionally for the rest of their lives? Maybe 1 out of 10 I'd say. You really want to have a winning record and then once they are done playing here, what comes next for them? They have a MAC Championship victory to back them up at their minimum wage job at McD's. Congratulations to them. No. Education should be important and I'm glad Dambrot stresses it(did anyone read the tournament diary?) Although Dambrot knows how important to do well on the court he also knows how important to do well in the classroom.These kids aren't Greg Oden, who I heard didn't attend a single class after their loss in the title game last year. They are just a bunch of kids who are passionate about basketball enough to continue their play through college. Beyond that, who knows. But at least they'll have a college degree to back them up if all else fails(see: Romeo Travis returning this year to earn a degree.)

I also had the Can't fans around me doing the same. Also after the game as I was walking on the concourse I heard them boo Dambrot getting the second place trophy. That is f'ed up right there. I can understand before the game but after? You don't do that. Show some class and applaud the competitor you just beat on the court. I know if the shoe were on the other foot I would have done the same thing.Now like I said I was outside of the arena on the concourse so maybe Dambrot wasn't getting the trophy, but I would assume so since he said something about the Akron Zips, coached by Keith Dambrot followed by a slue of boos.

such a disappointment. We put ourselves to shame out there. The game was over before halftime. Can't had a 15-1 run in the last 7 minutes because we couldn't make a basket inside the paint or out. I was surprised to see we actually shot 30.8% for the game. Felt like 3.8% to me.54.5%? 54.5%? 18 of 33 from the line. Are you kidding me? Our fan at half time shot better than that. College B-Ball is a game of momentum and it was back and forth for the first few minutes but once Can't got it they never gave it up. How is it humanly possible to miss so many layups? I can't believe how shitty we played tonight. This was the team we saw lose to at the time 0-10 Northern Illinois, not the team we saw playing the past two nights.I'm practically speechless because I've got so much running through my head.Oh, did anyone stick around long enough to hear the Can't fans boo us when being presented the second place trophy? And yet I had to hear Reghi talk about what a class program Christian runs. Yeah, letting an underage kid who blew over 6 times the legal limit play after missing only one game is the definition of class.And yet again we get no help from the officials on the defensive end. not like it would have mattered anyway but still calling Roberts for an intentional foul was downright absurd. Just the icing on the cake.

Yes. I felt that way once we beat WMU tonight. I'm glad someone else picked up on the Rowdies vs. Can't thing. I loved that they were focused on us AT ALL. The first "and Can't State still sucks" in our game was priceless lol great job by the rowdies tonight.

as far as the one and done thing is concerned, I wouldn't speak to fast. I think our guys have proved they can play when they want to(see: Dayton game earlier this year). I think it's safe to say, though, that if we make it to the NCAA's we will have a better showing than the Red Tweety Birds did last year.

Once the threes started clanking for CMU we were able to grab the momentum and run with it. Smart, balanced play is what we need to keep doing.
