I've always believed that Akron should have as much apparel available as OSU does, in the Akron area. The fact that you can go anywhere and buy a shirt that lets you wear nuts on your chest, but you can't find any quality Akron stuff outside of the bookstore's limited selection contributes to the frontrunner culture in Akron and the viewpoint that the Zips are totally insignificant. The big problem is that Barnes & Noble holds the rights to sell apparel, and they are loath to actually do anything beyond the bare minimum.

I can only know for certain a few of the recruits as being on scholarship. Some that we have listed might be coming as walk-ons, others as greyshirts (the only known greyshirt is Anthony Lauro, but there are likely others). I believe that JUCO DB Donte Williams counts toward last year's recruiting class, since he officially signed a LOI as part of the JUCO early signing period. I could be misinterpreting how that works, though.

He had a ton of offers. He's been clocked at 4.38 at a bunch of different camps.

In a couple years, once Jim Christian gets his own recruiting classes in, we can have a "felon fest" every time we play OU.

Thanks for the info. That helps clear up some uncertainty about our scholarship situation this year. Lauro is an exciting player to watch. Hopefully everything goes well for him. I wonder if greyshirting a bunch of players until the spring will become a thing under Bowden. Certainly appears that way.

I don't know how many fans we have making the trip. Think we can get 50? 75 Rowdies were enough to be a major presence at Can't, in a packed arena with a rivalry atmosphere. I think 50 noisy Zips fans would be more than enough to take over the small crowd expected tomorrow.
