For whatever reason, we always play like crap in Dekalb, so it's nice to get a win. That was also our first true road win of the season.

I've never liked the power that high school coaches can have in the world of recruiting. Still, this might give us an edge.

They just need more in-game practice running it. They'll get the hang of it, and it will become a valuable weapon by the end of the season.

Our MAC schedule in 2012 was just as tough, so I don't see this as anything extra to worry about. Our biggest concern needs to be improving our own team.

End of the day, the only thing that matters is the score. Sure, the defense was much better at a lot of things, but it all boiled down to them giving up 3 less points per game.

A very significant part of that terrible shooting came from Chauncey and his bum knee. Walsh is healthy now and back in form. Kretzer looks to be getting out of his shooting slump as well, and is also figuring out that he's big enough to do more than be an outside shooter. Akron by 14.

Amato's D gave up 3 points less per game than the previous year. It's progress, but slight. I think Chuck is getting interviewed mainly because he is Chuck Amato and people know who he is and what he's done in the past. I would put it at around a 35% chance that he gets another job before next season.

Bad timing, with conference play beginning. I guess that explains his shooting slump. Hope the surgury goes well for him and he comes back better than ever. We're a young team and need strong senior leadership if we want to make a run.
