Buffalo is somehow 2-0 in the east. Every game we have remaining is critical. We need to win all our home games, and take two of three on the road. Easier said than done.

Hey no problem. "Other Sports" gets more exposure, anyways.Cosmo is making a hard push already. They are the only mascot besides Zippy that has anything to gain this week, because if they take us down, and win their matchup, they become tied with us in first place. If we take them down and win, we are up by two on everyone. This is a very very big week.

As I understand it, and from looking at the renderings, the businesses do not block the stadium's actual footprint. We can build the structure unobstructed, but we will end up looking at the back of the buildings if they refuse to move. My guess is that they will be out and at least leveled into a dirt lot at the end of the stadium by the time we first play there.

I'm using a TV-tuner in my computer, so it records directly to my hard drive. I can't find a good video editor that accepts the format my recordings are, though.

My recording has it at the 45 minute mark. I'm still trying to figure out how to edit it down to just that segment. Right now I have a 3.2GB recording of the entire show, but the final product should be around 10 MB, that is, if I can figure out how to edit it.

Just watched the playon ESPN2. They had French's call for the video.

Mid-October is in one week. Let's get this thing started already. There are still students living in the dorms scheduled to be torn down. The earliest we can break ground is in mid-December, regardless. I think that the fate of a downtown BBall arena depends on the economic success of Infocision Stadium. Mayor Don will be looking closely at how the businesses on East Exchange do financially.

I'll be watching and recording. I don't know if I can get it up on Youtube or GoogleVideo, but I'll try.

We were within 15 seconds of nearly nailing the point spread on this one. I was wondering, though, where do Zips fans rank this comeback in terms of excitement compared to Domenik Hixon's game winning touchdown in the MAC championship a couple of years back?The champoinship game meant more, obviously, but this ending was far more improbable, and a bit more exiting. Remember that NIU got the ball back at the end and almost repayed us in kind at the end of the championship game.

Rifle...I don't think there were any highlights because the game wasn't on TV. Someone would have had to shoot the game, edit it, then uplink it via satellite.The entire game (including the final play) was broadcast on GoZips.com's ZipsZone. We have a video feed to most games now. It is stored somewhere in the UA net.

Teams with winning attitudes have plays like that go their way. Losers have plays like that end in failure. It always seems like the winners have luck on their side, while the losers simply have a lot of bad luck continously. There's a reason for that. It's called willpower. The players willed themselves to victory, no matter how bad the situation looked. That's an attitude that the coaches give to their teams.

You may criticize his ability to recruit athletes that can stay eligible. You may criticize his choice of Defense. You may criticize his offensive coordinator. You may criticize his ability to adjust at halftime. You may even criticize his clothing style. But one thing that you ABSOLUTELY cannot criticize is his players' hearts and will to win. Brookhart is instilling this team with the expectation to win. They have a never-say-die attitude. They will. not. give. up. And we're a better team for it.

Dambrot is right. Why would we invest in a 10,000 seat arena when we never fill a 5,500 seater? I'm planning to show up to every game I possibly can, both Men's and Women's. The better attendance we have, the better our chances are of replacing the JAR.

I'm thinking of starting a thread each week with all the UA sports home games, so the ROWDIES know when to show up. Try to go to as many as you can. The University still doesn't believe that many people care about our athletic programs. The best way to prove them wrong is to show up. The second best way is to get Zippy to win the Mascot Bowl, so go vote! As you probably guessed by reading the headline, Zippy 's lead is gone.I know we're all busy cheering the Indians as they beat the ever-loving crap out of the Yankees, but while we've been screaming at the TVs and preparing "Kenny Lofton for MVP" t-shirts, Zippy has fallen in the battle to Joe Bruin.This match-up is crucial. Going up 4-0 virtually guarantees Zippy getting into the mascot playoffs. So, vote in between the innings or whenever you can.We need a nice buffer for the end-of-the-week push. Last-minute voting has saved us in the past few match-ups, but we shouldn't rely on them.
