If TB turned this program into a regular in the top 25, he'd be a legend(in NE Ohio), and UA would have their fan base. That's a 10-15 year job, minimum.
So BG is unbeatable? I'd have to disagree. I don't see any team in the MAC as unbeatable, by any conference foe. BG has faced another top 25 defense, and got trounced. Eastern Illinois held Wisconsin to thirty one less points than BG. The Falcons are a good team, but they aren't phenomenal.
This week, most of the teams that were underdogs won. NIU, Toledo, Buffalo, and Ohio take losses. I'd say that puts CMU, BGSU and UA in the driver's seat. If we beat BG, this conference is ours for the taking. At least the East, at the minimum.
Those that think this game will be close baffle me, I watched them on ESPN 3, and don't see a strength to their game. I know our O-line has issues, but Miami's line makes ours look like it was taken from the Pro Bowl. I expect to see us to have a lot of tackles for loss, whether it's the QB or RB's. If UMass can put up points that easily, so can we. It won't be close, they can't handle our pass rush. I am looking forward to the Hundley-Kern reunion as well. Zips win big. 38-10
I'm actually pleased with the secondary, which was my only major concern for the season. I still want to see other RB's receive the bulk of the carries.
Good start, but it looks like there was a serious loss of intensity after the first 11 minutes. I expect them to come out the second half with a fire lit under their rear.
I'm so glad that you all know considerably more about scouting talent than the football staff. The turnaround that we had in our record further indicates that we have the wrong people for the job. I think that everyone criticizing the staff's recruiting efforts should forward Bowden their credentials along with a statement describing how they are doing it all wrong. After all, he'd want the best people for the job.
