is there any affiliation?
None.
3 minutes ago, LZIp said:I saw a GREAT recommendation to get students to games that has somehow never been brought up before. $1 dollar beer!
While I think it's a good idea, and would be fine, the people making the decision likely remember "10-Cent Beer Night" in Cleveland that ended with a riot.

• Announcement on Woodson coming later this week. ?
• Sticking with Gasser at kicker.
• Sands broken fibula, out for the year. ?
• Kato only had a couple of days at 1st team reps
• We have to run the ball better.
• Best Ohio team since I (TB) have been here. Good on both sides of the ball.
• Every week someone's cell phone rings with an old time ringer, happened again. Should become a drinking game.

(A scheduled) 1 pm Bowden press conference today. Should learn something. Hopefully, it will show up here later today.

Good, or bad, one thing that will change for KD is media coverage. This is a site I pay for, and worth every penny; Mike Lewis II takes road less traveled to stay at Duquesne. Lots of KD info in this 3000 word article with quality photography.
"After Ferry’s firing, report after report surfaced of several candidates turning down the job. For a two-week span, the Dukes were without a coach as the administration struggled to find someone willing to take the reins. Then Keith Dambrot entered the picture on March 27"
"Dambrot describes himself as a Tasmanian Devil in the practice setting, but a teddy bear outside of it. He can be intense and sometimes ruthless to the point where it comes across as unforgiving. His style forced some to adjust, Dambrot admitted, although Lewis II has seemingly taken it in stride.“If I’m going to get him to where he needs to be, I might have to do it more myself as opposed to one of the assistants working with him,” Dambrot told DKPittsburghSports.com."

Discuss answers below. I realize these questions hinge on who will be under center for the Zips, so feel free to wait for that answer.
The last two TFT™ polls will appear on Fridays since the games will be on Tuesdays.

How did we go from reading about the MAC player of the week, to this so fast. ?

Unfortunately close but no cigar.
Still, an impressive run.

Zips Wins - 5
Warren Ball rushing yards - 332 ?
Reception Leaders - Tra’Von 40, Coney 37, Smith 28, and Wolf 22
Defensive sacks - 16
It's possible that Wolf could have fewer (than 36) catches this season than he did last season, with JoJo getting 59 and Lane getting 62 catches. I never would have guessed that at the beginning of the season.
It's starting to look as though the sack total might go under with a month of very little production in the area.

Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread but do we know if Woodson will be back for OU or Kent?
Officially, he was suspended from last night's game. The wording of "tonight's game", indicates to me that he has a chance to play against OU, but as of right now, no official word. Stay tuned. I would have felt better if he were on the sidelines, but he "did not make the trip" last night.

WRONG, 19 carries for 12 yards. If you would have given me that stat before the game started, I would have had a good idea of the outcome.
No winners this week.

Meanwhile, our backs try the good ol' fashioned vanilla between-the-tackles for 1/2 yard.
I saw the RG pull once for a 5 yard gain. That was nice.

ESPN2 will televise the game with Kevin Negandhi (play-by-play), Rocky Boiman (analyst), and Quint Kessenich (sideline) calling the game.
Junior RB Kenny Young is Miami's top rusher with 587 yards and four touchdowns on 116 carries. Junior QB Billy Bahl is 61-of-117 for 820 yards and five touchdowns. Junior WR James Gardner is the leading receiver with 847 yards and nine touchdowns on 42 receptions. Defensively, junior LB Brad Koenig has 70 tackles, three sacks, three hurries, three break-ups, and a forced fumble.
In the NCAA stats, Miami is ranked No. 20 in passing yards per completion (14.13), No. 26 in net punting (40.44), and No. 37 in red zone defense (0.778). Junior WR James Gardner is No. 3 in receiving touchdowns (9), No. 6 in receiving yards (847), and No. 31 in total touchdowns (9).
AKRON-MIAMI CONNECTIONS
Miami has three players from the Akron area on its roster– freshman TE Adam Mehelic (Hudson, Ohio | Hudson HS), freshman WR Dominique Robinson (Canton, Ohio | Canton McKinley HS), and freshman DB Donte Taylor, Jr. (Akron, Ohio | St. Vincent-St. Mary HS).One more victory, and the Zips will be bowl eligible for the second time in three seasons– a feat that has never been reached in program history.

That was a short questioner. ?

Agreed. If you would like to discuss politics, there are plenty of forums to do so. ZipsNation was not created to discuss politics. PLEASE take it elsewhere, or you will lose your privilege to post here.
Members who have problems with specific poster should take advantage of this option.

Morgan run for nine yards between the tackle and guard.
Pass play to TW's left. The one 8 bobbled and almost caught in the end zone.
Pass play out of the end zone to 3.
Run play Morgan off tackle right.
I could post more, but I think you get the idea, no matter run or pass, tackle up, guard down, at least for the BSU game. I'll keep a better eye out Tuesday.

Alvin was out for the Buffalo game because of a targeting hit, he is in for the Miami game. Coach was happy that even with his two starting (the season) safeties out, he was able to fill their positions with quality depth.

...it didn't appear there were even 10k fans at the Glass Bowl for the biggest game of the year.
I tried looking in the Toledo photo gallery. Not much. Can't find anything in the Huskies page.

Troy leads the nation in red zone defense.
Ohio St is 9th, Notre Dame is 14th, the Zips are 19th.
