You guys came into this season as the Big Dog in the conference, you won it last year and by the looks of things are favored to win it this season (Buffalo might be gaining some ground). So of course everyone in the MAC wants to knock off the Big dog... what else to look forward to? EMU? Ball State? Ohio?Thanks for stopping by. But are Bulls fans really over OU? I thought that was pretty heated.I don't think were completely over them but to be honest they are not too much of a threat to anyone this season so why get fired up? Akron is the only team in the east that I thank can go dancing even if they don't win the MAC, you guy's are pretty much the team to beat. The win was nice but MAC road wins are always hard and Smiley shot 12-13 from the field we can't count on that every night.If Ohio was the team to beat, maybe we would feel differently but the way you guys shut us down last year stung...

Wish I had gotten in before the game, it was a busy weekend but I would like to say that Akron is one of the more enjoyable schools to share the MAC conference with. Just the right amount of school pride and respect for the opposition! Looking forward to the rematch in Akron later this season..

Just popping over to say congrats and you guys have one hell of a QB! I watched the game on 360 and was massively impressed with how much he has grown up in just a half season!

At least the new stadium is... Too bad about Bowser, not too many guys mean as much to their offense as he does to you..

LOL, maybe if Akron can get 11 devoted guys up to the game then both teams should be allowed to put 11 fans on the field for special teams plays...I have heard good things about Duff's, I never made it there before leaving the state but its where UB fans go to watch away games. My preference is 911, a dive in south Buffalo (so named because its two buildings 9 and 11 put together, were it me I would have changed the name after 911 but like I said, its a dive..

Against OU we missed two field goals, lost a fumbled kick off and had a punt blocked in the endzone for an OU TD. And our special teams had 2 full weeks to prepare for the game. Quite a season we are having, before our game last year Buffalo and Akron fans were arguing about who had the better team (this year its the worse team)..I did note that your kicker is worse but that may be because Gill usually does not give AJ a shot at anything more than 40

FWIW, the best wings I ever had were at a dive bar in south Buffalo here: 9 Sheffield Avenue Buffalo NY 14220 (don't worry its a pretty decent neighborhood, at least it was 7 years ago when I lived there). Anchor bar is good but most of the really good pizza and wings you will find will be in South Buffalo and on the West Side. Given that in South Buffalo your car is far less likely to get jacked you may want to try there.If you want to stick to the area around UB there is a great Pizza place called Just Pizza near the souch campus 3500 Main St but I never found really good wings in that area.. I do not believe we can. I'm not even sure how "some consensus" could exist. A consensus is one of those things that you either have or you don't. You probably should have asked, "Can we get some uninformed opinion on.........." We are good at that. Buffalo is not going to alter their stadium unless it starts hailing money. The stadium is on campus less than 20 years old and seats 30K. The only real problem for it is the running track.UB is going to build a field house, and a new athletics center on the north end to close the stadium

Last year Ball State ran away with the MAC conference before being tripped up by turnovers in the championship game, they finished nationally ranked, solid on both sides of the ball, and kept one of the top three running backs in the nation. Last year Toledo limped to a 3-9 season, failed on several occasions to close out winnable games and only looked good against Miami (OH) and EMU. The total record of the teams they beat was 8-28 and when these two teams hooked up in Toledo the Rockets did not manage to score one point. Ouch, can't believe I missed that one... There wont be allot of drama but there will be allot of fun...There won't be a lot of people at the game using the word allot either. Some of us here at Zips Nation may not know the difference between then and than and a few of us have trouble telling the difference between to, too, and two, but none of us are from Buffalo, Canada and we thank our lucky stars for that allot. Somewhat low class to take such a pot shot but whatever floats your boat..
