Sorry..previous thread already startedI think I've just cracked the secret code behind this diabolical plot:A-bre-u
A-ren-a

I like DB

Our team was basically playing pick up ball... Happy we made it so far. Took good effort. Back to reality
-
Can't say I've ever seen less fight out of a team... Any team.. That I recall at least.
Maybe I would have just changed the station
-
Further than I expected a few weeks ago but what a way to die...
Can we start a new season now please...this will taste bad
-
Ps were there any Akron fans there at all? Doesn't matter much at this point
-
I appreciate Walsh being a gamer but he has looked beat since he stepped on the floor. How do the coaches not see that? Three missed threes that would have been better coming of Kretzer or McAdams hand. Please keep him on the bench the rest of the game...what are you saving your time outs for at this point - call at TO and pull the guy out.
Had to get his name corrected..
Ouch

KD will be able to focus more on team tuning rather than doing homework. Other than MAC teams he prolly knows none better.
-
more than 4000? Ohio will easily have double that for Akron. On a Wednesday.
Ohio State basketball has 0 influence on the attendance in Athens. A couple students care about OSU football, although that problem has pretty much disappeared with our success lately. OSU basketball? lol. OSU could play Michigan in hoops at the same time and the O Zone would still put anything the Rowdies call a good crowd to shame.
This is life at the conferences flagship basketball program.
Fixed it for ya..

They seem to react much like we do
-
...anyway. NDSU looks pretty good. Doesn't matter unless we take care of business
-
Agreed. Heck, OU pulls that one out and if both teams win out, we could be ranked and they could be on the edge of the top 25 for the game in Athens. It's possible.
Wouldn't go that far but I'd settle for legit at large with top 25 dreams
-
Belmont should destroy them.
Would be great for us if OU could win
-
He came in, picked up two quick fouls and never saw the floor again. I think this comes back to the previous discussion of KD having the option to play the hot hand. Last night McAdams got most of the minutes that Gilliam usually gets.
That would truly be KD 2.0
-
why is that?
Espn only has him at 2minutes played. Maybe KD wanted to play the hot hands? I've seen him pull guys after making two or threes in a row however so that's not really him historically.
-
Surprised it hasn't been brought up (or maybe not with the big win) but I hope Chauncey is ok.
I have to think he was held out for some reason other than performance

My source inside the university says high level meetings in the last few weeks have focused on selecting a design for a new basketball arena. Three different designs proposals were presented. They ranged from $69 million for a 7k+ design to $44 M for a 3800 seat design. At this point the committee is leaning towards the 3800 seat design. It would have chairbacks from floor to ceiling on the sides and bleachers in the endzones. Very intimate with the seating right on top of the court and nice amenities in the rest of the arena. I know this isn't what a lot of Zips fans had in mind when thinking of the future, but its what we can afford. Currently there is zero funding in place for any arena.
I guess my only thought is that there's no way it should hold LESS than the JAR is now.
I'd rather have a retractable section than that!
Come on UA let's at least be respectable here. Think bigger..move forward..
-
I think that right there is a reason why we should not do this. These are college sports, not minor leagues. We shouldn't have to rely on cheesy gimmicks like that to get people to the games. Football is one thing, since UA is encouraging fans to show up early and tailgate. But during basketball games it just gets annoying and defeats the purpose of those families attending games.
Should we stop selling food?
I mean we dress someone up like a kangaroo for God's sake!
Maybe try a small scale version at a women's game (sorry ladies) where less people would be offended?
-
If they think the bobbleheads will draw more people in to that game, then they need to make the gameday experience, at least for that day, a good one. Close up the end zone seats on the south side where no-one sits anyway and put up the kid bouncer. maybe have people there doing free face painting, etc. Have extra people working the concessions. Maybe even run some concession specials. Give those extra people a reason to want to come back beyond just the basketball (if basketball was all they wanted, they'd be coming already).
I like this idea for most games (except Can't/OU at least). I know they do this at some D-league games. I hate it as a basketball fan, but it seems like the kids/families really enjoy it!

I knew Reggie had an awesome offensive, breakout against NIU, but I never realized it was THIS GOOD! That's approaching Jonas' early season scoring average of 240 pts/game
He could have taken down NIU on his own. Watch out Kobe.

Josh finally made it official he is going to Walsh to reunite with Dupont from his Jackson days.
Always liked him. He never really had a chance at Akron for whatever reason. Hope he does well.
-
Only thing that matters is the MAC tournament...
lets get better

Should I say what everyone is thinking?

He's writing himself off of this forum and board. I don't wanna hear about him anymore. As a fan I want something positive to cheer for. His time is done
