I don't know what kind of demons exist in the UB arena but it's nuts... the crowd doesn't really care at all but the Zips aren't showing any energy at all. They must just be falling asleep out there. My guess is that they're just tired.

Don't look too much into this game - we don't ever play well @ Buffalo. Better the loss come now than in the MAC tournament!!!

The dreaded let-down game... My feelings are the same as they were for the OU game. Do I expect us to win? Yes. Would I be shocked and appalled if we suffer a letdown after the emotional win on Wednesday? No. I'm slightly concerned about KD's "flying the kids into Buffalo because that's what big programs do" because sometimes that gives kids the big egos and the "we have the right to beat you" mentality but the way the Zips fought against OU on Wednesday makes me think that they're aware of what they need to do and avoid. They seem to have the attitude that they're expecting everyone's best shot now as opposed to 3 weeks ago when they were squeaking out Ws against Miami on the road. 65-56 Zips.

I will warn everyone to not waste your time at Anchor Bar... despite inventing the chicken wing, they certainly did not perfect it. Duff's is pretty damn good, though.

Is fearing the Roo allowed?

No kidding... we were up over NDSU by 20+ with 10 minutes to go and they whittled the lead down to 6. My feeling is always that so long as we're within 10 at the half, the game's still totally undecided. Granted we're down by 11, on the road, against our new arch-nemesis, I'm still not convinced it's over.

Does anyone know how nice the replica jerseys are? My wife will probably kill me if I get the authentic jersey but I want to make sure I'm not pissing $50 away on the replica.

I honestly think they have "big game" hangover. They have flashes of brilliance and then just fall asleep on defense. Shots not going down, offensive interference on putbacks, the list of odd things going wrong is extensive. Some of it is also that CMU is hitting 3s are the most inopportune times to stop any offensive momentum we might gather.

Has CMU missed a 3 pointer yet? This is ridiculous. They're having the game of their year tonight.

By the team or the ESPN feed? This is exactly what I feared after all of the "wah wah wah we get no national respect." A repeat of NIU 2008... we should be housing these guys. We're going to have to take everyone's best shot until we start burying inferior teams like CMU.

No kidding - I remember a game from 2008, in the JAR, against an absolutely terrible NIU team who came in and ended up beating the Zips by 10 handing us our first home loss of the year in mid-February. Ever since then I'm always nervous about the "terrible road team" coming into Akron and putting together their best game of the year.

Ugh - why are there open seats with 2 minutes left? It's Akron people... not downtown L.A. Rt. 8 isn't going to be clogged with people on the way out.

... and the announcers just called us the Zags. Uh, while I appreciate the comparison, please get the name of the team you're announcing for correct.

No kidding - not to mention normal people wearing authentic football and basketball jerseys always look weird because of the cut of the jerseys. Authentic NFL jerseys are made to wear pads underneath so normal joes look ridiculous with puffy sleeves. Authentic NBA jerseys are made for guys with, let's face it, a lot better physiques than any of us. I stick with the "authentic replica" jerseys for most sports... they just fit better. I'm one of those guys, though, who likes to get my own name on the back just because it's always awkward when the guy I buy the jersey of leaves the team (see: my LeBron James Cavs jersey...) That's what I prefer to wear.

Um... Authentic NFL Jersey - $300 Authentic NBA Jersey - $290 Authentic MLB Jersey - $240 So... no, these jerseys are WAY cheaper than any authentic professional sports jersey.
