  1. What happened to the commerative wall with the names of the people who bought the founders club season ticket package thing? I remember sending in the form with our names in the spring, but have not heard anything about it since. I have toured the stadium a few times and I don't even see a spot where it would be. Did this get dropped, as well?
  2. Section 108, row 10, seats 1 and 2.
  3. Thanks Big Zip. I don't remember seeing any of Mentor's games, but that makes sense. I can see his size at WR being an advantage in that kind of system.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, CJ played WR for 3 yrs in high school. He moved to QB his senior yr, so I'm pretty sure he was recruited as a quarterback for the Zips. It is hard to believe, though, that he was a WR at any time. Maybe a TE, I guess.
  5. There are some interesting things in the article. Dambrot mentions that this is the quickest team he has had here. He said the Zips will play a more up-tempo, full-court style of play. Also, that they will play small often. Sounds like this could be an exciting team, but they will have to grow up fast.
  6. Akron wins a close one. I don't think the Zips will do much the whole game, but a few big plays will be the difference. One on offense by Jones or Bowser, one on defense by Carter or Lemon. Of course, a blow out would be nice!
  7. How were the carries for RB distributed? I'm wondering how it will shake out between Allen, Walker, Williams, etc.
  8. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but does anyone else think the longer JD waits to pick a starter, the more likely it is going to be Rodgers? If he really is doing as well protecting the ball as they say, maybe he should be the guy. We have a ton of running backs, so just build around a ball control style.
  9. Thanks for doing an outstanding job of keeping us informed! This has become THE place to get Zips info.
  10. What you say is true, but only to a certain extent. Size does not equal rebounds. The Zips have had several "big" men over the past few years that have been just pushed around in the paint. Guys like Gary Trent dominated the MAC without the desired size. I would love to see a bunch of 7 footers on the squad, but I'll take talent any day of the week.
  11. How about a "where are they now" kind of article? We dont hear too much about former Zips stars. Mike Johnson is the wr coach for the Ravens (I think), James Black is an actor in LA, etc. Might be interesting to see how they feel about the recent success.
