THe team played more inspired but the coaching was still suspect. Tuzze was moving the ball consistiiently and wearing down the D. Why take him out and in the red zone and force rodgers to be the man. rodgers fumbled.Tuzze was hurting pretty bad. They worked on him on the sidelines quite a bit. He is definitely the Zips best running back, and showed a lot of guts playing through obvious pain. But he could not physically be in all the time.I couldn't see them working on him. I hope is is ok.

Rodgers looked better today but was still 1-2 seconds late on every throw and late on the decision to run when he had the chance. not to mention that he doesn't have the arm strength to throw to bowser or any other reciever on the wide side of the field much less down field.

A bunch of people in my part of the student section cheered when Nicely came in. He energized the team and proved that he should of been starting all along. I loved the way he played tonight.He was looking good but braylon...i mean bowser went stone hands on him.

The fancy punt formation deep in our own field really was stupid. Special teams really needs to keep it simple and not lose the game. Also...could they find a damn kicker?

Nicely was impressive. The team really came alive when he came in. At least we get 3 more years with this guy.

There is no "organized" tailgate.In Lot #9 at the corner of Exchange and Brown is where you will find quite a few ZN members. I've seen Bleacher Bum, ZipsWin, Z-Pouch, Dr.Z, myself, Infofan, Johnny Utah, BirdZip and several others. Look for the flying flags and ask for me. I'll have a beer waiting for you. What evidence is there of this strategy working in the past 25 years?Is anybody planning to tailgate this week in lot 34? I have some people coming in and would like for them to see the best Akron has to offer.

If the exterior is that far along, I don't know how they wouldn't be finished 11 months from now, especially since it's a huge priority.The brick is on but the building looks like an empty shell. They must want it to look nice from the outside first.

Apparently you didn't watch the same game, Mrs. Nicely.FYI, Rodger's passer efficiency rating for this game was 119.31, and that doesn't take into consideration the two touchdowns he ran for. What does that take into consideration? The 0 interceptions he threw.This game was lost by our defense, there's no doubt about that (they could have put up 55 points on us). It's nearly impossible to overcome that sort of point value. You also have to consider that we didn't just play any team. CMU is traditionally a good team. Do you remember what they did last week? Upset a Big 10 team come to mind? They are probably still playing off the high from that victory.Rodgers has some potential. Give this sophomore some time to develop (and get rid of all of those screens!) and you'll see more improvement on top of what we saw today.Develop! Rodgers didn't look absolutely terrible. He had a great pass to Bowser that was dropped, and when the coaches had him throwing downfield at the end of the game he made some really nice passes. Both touchdowns were scored by him running. Does he have things he needs to improve on? Yes. I understand it was crappy weather but you can't keep dropping the ball like that. On the plus side he threw 0 interceptions vs. a very good CMU defense compared to 4 against Indiana last week. Those short little dump passes were absolutely terrible, but then again, why are the coaches calling the same plays that have him throwing to receivers behind the line of scrimage? Regardless of whether they catch them or not the play isn't going to net any yardage. Why call for Rodgers head when the playcalling and O-line both drastically need to improve?Wow! did you watch the same game Mrs. RodgersJef Phelps actually said during the game today that Rodgers was not that bad last week...? No. In fact some fans tried to bring their own chairbacks and anything that had metal to attach to the bleachers were turned away. UA needs to get the correct chairs that wont damage the bleachers and start making some money.I called and asked about chair backs a few weeks prior to the game. The woman on the phone told me that they would allowus to bring our own as long as they would not hook on/damage the new bleachers. Well, that wasn't the case. Had to make an extra round trip to lot 34.
