We got to lot 34 at about 9:55. There were plenty of tailgaters set up and ready to go. I was a little thirsty on Saturday and didn't get a chance to make it to zips fest or any of the other lots. Were any of the lots as full as 34? What is the consensus pick for best tailgating location?

So is lot 34 the consensus pick for prime tailgating?

Still totals less than half of the $360 million stated in the article.

I think the numbers are overstated. The Rec center and indoor practice facilities were under $50 and the stadium was about $61 million. They must have included most of the new landscape for learning in the article not just the athletic improvements. Very inaccurate and misleading representation of the University's commitment to improvement of the campus as a whole. Nice job again PD.

They were able to get me 1 row behind the seats I choose earlier this year. Now I am on the aisle and very satisfied with the result. They even sent a hand written note with the tickets in the mail. Nice customer service

I went to Can't and Akron both for two years. Both are very similar academically. I have recently chosen Akron's MBA program because it is larger and more developed. Each school has programs which rank highly in national polls (Akron's business undergrad program #93). I will also add that Can't's admission standards are a joke. The stated minimums are very soft.

Why the sad face? Don't worry you will get them. I think it is great that they ran out. That just means more people in the stands. We all have to show some patience with this process. The ticket office is used to 1,500 season ticket holders but now they have over 6,000. I think we all agree it is better to double check the packages before they get sent out wrong. They made a huge mistake with my tickets but were able to fix it in an acceptable fashion. They really are doing a nice job with this.

In all seriousness, congratulations on you success as a business owner. That is no easy task.Instruction by Faculty Report Fall 2006University Main CampusesOhio University / Fall 2006 / 64%University of Akron / Fall 2006 / 49%You were a little off... or are priviy to data that we aren't.I find it interesting that you rip the quality of UofA instructors and then say that you are/were one. What does that say about yourself?Good luck helping students write resumés and business letters in your communications class.Ohio State University 43% 42% 42% 45%(2006)OSU is ranked much higher than OU with fewer full-time faculty...might The OSU bring in specialists working in the industry? Part-time faculty may enrich the educational experience.

Disclaimer: I am a creft beer/micro brew lover. The OBC brewers are extremely heavy handed with the hops. I have noticed them getting better with time but still need to improve. Keep up the good work brewmaster...you are headed in the right direction.

Look at any of the academic rankings lately? The new U.S. News & World Report places Akron in the lowest category ("Tier 4") and Ohio in Tier 1. Do you "get" that? The only reason Akron is in Tier 4 is because we have open enrollment. you just opened up a can of worms with this one cause our programs are either on par with or far exceeds most others in the country. (Engineering, Music, and Law are the big ones)Akron top 6% business school by USnews

She is great at writing blogs for the uninformed fan. She stretches convenient facts to fit her angel. There is no place for her on ESPN.

Even worse, Graham Watson (the "others" blogger for non-BCS schools) dosn't even rate her own blog this year. It's just lumped in with all of the other BCS blogs under the "National" blog (all of the BCS leagues still have their own individual blogs). So there wasn't enough readership of her blog with 54 schools in it to warrant having it stand on it's own?She is the same one who wrote the piece on La Tech's scoreboard improvements that inflamed the nation...http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?sh...c=14261&hl=

In game representation would be CRAZY! And that's the perfect area to hang them too, good idea. If we really do this would we just assign the different letters to people on here and have instructions on how to make them at home?If we do that it is going to end up looking like a ransom note cut from magazine type.

I got ya now At that point I will have had too many drinks to concentrate on the game and spell at the same time.

Yeah, I forgot how many of those ended up drifting around campus. I was thinking more along the lines of pinning them up on bulletin boards around campus, like the one in the commuter lounge or the ones in the dormitories and administration and classroom buildings. I know that in Gallucci hall there are around 4 boards per floor. If we could get permission from the RA's we could post multiple flyers that are easily and cheaply printed directly in front of the student's faces. Either via a university printing press or just each member print out his own, it would be the easiest option. I think the coolest thing would be to make a large banner, basically exactly what the logo is at the top of the page (ZIPSNATION.ORG) and put it at the top of someone's tent who is tailgating. It wouldn't be that expensive, just large sheets of gold, blue, and white construction paper. We put a small logo in a projector, blow it up on the wall to the desired size, trace the layers, and cut them out with an exacto knife, or even just scissors. Then we just glue them all together with spray adhesive, bond it to a big piece of cardboard on the back and now you have yourself a nice, professional looking banner. If you wanted to get fancy you could even get plexiglass and cover it to protect from rain. Just a thought. I have some artistic ability and one of my buddies is a graphic design major, as I'm sure some are who belong to this forum.Like the ideas. The small individual signs could be used in conjunction with a "ZNO Central" location.

I was there for employee appreciation day on Sunday. They had a bunch of zips inflatables (soccer game, bouncer, zippy), face painting, and other carnival-type games for kids to enjoy. It was a very nice event and I would imagine that the majority of the items were purchased (not rented) due to them either being shaped like zippy or sporting an Akron logo.

I hated that. I think I got about 50 cards the first week of class saying "The Biggest college party in OHIO".Just like walking down Las Vegas Blvd!!! minus the Mexicans?
-
Fantastic!! I get to sit beside by biggest fan because I am also in that some row! Both of you can enjoy the seatbacks together then.
-
You are probably right about the cards. The sign could be as simple as a word document that all members who wish to participate could access and print. Put the ZNO banner across the top and leave room for the SN. I am not the most talented graphic designer but will give it a try when I get home tonight.
-
what about a jersy with your SN on the back? That would be funny. I like the sign idea because it is as close to free as we are going to get.
