  1. Keep an eye on channelsurfing.net. The game isn't listed yet, but they tend to add more games as the day goes on.
  2. Well that was the most pathetic game I have ever witnessed. I wasn't able to attend the Syracuse game, so my expectations were pretty low after reading the comments on this board. I didn't think it was possible, but they did not even come close to meeting my low expectations. Is there anyone on the team that can come close to covering a WR? How many times were they wide open today? When they got the ball with a few minutes left in the game in their own territory, I leaned over to my friend and said, "If this is the Akron team that I know, they will definitely turn it over on this drive." Guess what? Yep, they turned it over. Also, when they were attempting the game winning FG I leaned over to him again and told him that he would miss it. It's really pathetic that I was able to predict with confidence that those things would happen. Before this game, I was in favor of giving Ianello a chance, but after today, I'm not so sure.
  3. I don't understand some of you guys. First, people were complaining about LeBron accepting his MVP award at Akron. Who cares how much the University will benefit, if it even benefits at all? We should just be happy that he wanted to come back to his hometown to accept it. Also, who cares what everyone was wearing? The guys had a day off and I'm sure they didn't feel like dressing up. Do you guys really look for the bad things in everything? I don't understand why people just can't be happy about having the chance to see LeBron and the rest of the Cavs at the JAR.
  4. +1. In a way I'm relieved that this season is over, because I have never been so irritated with a team as I have been with them at times this year. However, I'm really starting to worry about next season. Like many people, the guards are my major concern. I had high hopes for them this season, but was really disappointed, and next year doesn't look any better.
  5. What are the 10 OOC games that have already been scheduled?
  6. Forgive me for asking this, but does anyone know what the schedule for next year looks like, or at least some of the OOC games?
  7. Great analysis of the game. Does anyone know if tickets will be available in Akron at all today? I seem to remember them having tickets at the JAR early in the day last year.
  8. What channel was it on? I looked for a while and couldn't find it, so I watched it on channelsurfing.net.It was on 310, which I believe is a Fox Sports alternate channel.Hmm I thought I checked that. Oh well, at least I got to see it online.
  9. What channel was it on? I looked for a while and couldn't find it, so I watched it on channelsurfing.net.
  10. I swear this team is trying to give me a heart attack! Great game! What a game by Kool.
  11. Chris is really stepping up tonight! Now they need to stop WMU.
  12. Kool just can't be stopped tonight.
  13. Refresh the channelsurfing page and you'll see another link for the Akron game.
  14. I'm so upset I missed the end of this game. I had class at 5:10 and was relying on texts from my roommate to keep me updated. Does anyone know if there is a clip online of Steve's shot to tie the game?
  15. From the replay it looked like his feet were planted.
  16. Wow, I really don't think that should have been a foul on Chris.
  17. I think Akron will win this one by double digits. For some reason I have a gut feeling that Brett McClanahan will have a huge a game if he gets a chance to play.
  18. Another completely embarrassing performance. They showed absolutely no signs of life. They couldn't make a shot to save their lives and decided to take the night off on the defensive end.
  19. I'm getting ready to walk over to the JAR in a few minutes. Go Zips!!
  20. That's definitely another huge reason why more students don't attend. A lot of kids I talk to have no idea what day the game is on, and if it wasn't for the Facebook events, most of them probably wouldn't even know that the game is this week.
  21. Sounds like a reason to me. Doesn't matter if somebody agrees or disagrees with you, it's a reason. I wonder how many are in your shoes? I have no inside information, but I'm willing to bet that Youtube Tom changes something next year.I'm also a student who loves Akron sports but doesn't always choose to sit with the Rowdies. During my first two years at Akron, I sat with them for many games, yet never really felt like I was part of the group, because it seemed like many of the members looked down on me for not attending as many events as they did. I'm sure I will get bashed for saying this, but I really feel that the Rowdies are made up of cliques, which kind of cause some people to stay away. I can think of at least a few people that feel the same way as I do. I will say, however, that I have never had a problem with the "head" Rowdies, and have always enjoyed them. This is not meant to bash the Rowdies, I'm just giving a possible reason as to why some students would rather sit in the bleachers than with them.
