  1. I would love to watch it online too, but i don't know where either so i'm going to listen to it online at 1350AM WARF...
  2. +1 you have to keep an open mind, not for you, and let them have their dream. People always come and go whether it's at your job, school, team, or a brother or sister moving out to college or their own house or apartment. It's just a matter of life and what we get as a top 5 team in college soccer. This will do wonders for our recruiting.... Why do you think year in and year out, that the Florida's,USC's,etc. recruit top classes because their players leave early and have great success right away in the NFL...I also believe that making it to the College Cup national championship and being on both days on a ESPN network channel, some recruits might changed their thinking towards a certain college or may even change a verbal if they see the team play with the best of ACC down to PK's, and especially if this is whole story(Nagbe,Gavin,Valentin...)true since they may get a lot of qualtiy playing time. Thanks for the info, Zach.
  3. http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives...version-20.htmlthey have Teal #4 on the MLS Draft Big Board and say he can go #1 overall pick.this site has Bunbury going 9th to the New England Revolution: http://www.draftsite.com/mls/2010mock.htm
  4. I was shocked when i heard this;however, not much. I figured that they would want to come back and get a national championship after being so close this year. If it wasn't for that, I was 99.999999% sure that 1 person would at least leave after this year...Does anyone know much about our 2010 recruiting class? I heard we got aa couple midfielders and forwards in this class. I'll look around, just didn't know if anyone was on this topic already...
  5. I would go for the easy wins myself too;however, these senior high school teens that are getting highly recruited, mostly have high expectations, some with high egos, and want to and believe they can play with the best. If u tell them they can't, when some other program can promise that, you aren't getting them...
  6. Scenario:Ianello goes into the home of a recruit and has a conversation with them. I will give you 2 different examples and you can tell me the one you would be attracted to the most as a recruit:Conversation A"If you come to Akron, you will compete for a starting job right away. Every starting position is up for grabs the week before the season begins. You will also have th chance to play against the schools like Syracuse, Indiana, Kentucky, Penn State, Ohio State, and more chances to show you and Akron on the map with a big upset, and possibly win a MAC championship, if you come to Akron. Hope you have a great senior year and good luck in college wherever you go."Conversation B"If you come to Akron, you will compete for a starting job right away. Every starting position is up for grabs the week before the season begins. You will also have th chance to play against the schools like Gardner-Webb,Morgan State,Memphis, and if we play well in the MAC, we may make a bowl game, and may even win a MAC championship, if you come to Akron. Hope you have a great senior year and good luck in college wherever you go."

  8. ESPN Family Networks and FSN Ohio will set the "better" teams in primetime saturday spot and make the "terrible" teams take the "leftover" slots which include weeknights...they can't pass up a weeknight game getting aired when that will bring in extra CASH to the university.
  9. he's won a state championship though..at AKRON st. vincent st. mary's...did u win a state championship? don't answer that...i know J-rOd...i had to joke around a little bit...
  10. If he starts developing the world's ugliest jump shot we can call him linhartYou haven't seen mine
  11. I haven't had any problems with the JAR. I'm afraid if you build a new arena for basketball, it will be infocision stadium/summa field all over again...if we can't fill the JAR, why build a new one when we can give updates to other programs that desperately need it more...I was one of those students...i live an hour away as well(alliance area)...but i will try to make it to the UIC, Valparaiso, and Rhode Island games. People I think don't get into the basketball "spirits" until conference play and february when it gets to time of confrence tournaments...It's sad when I see more people at a girl's basketball game then at a men's basketball game...
  12. I'll be there for Friday and Sunday. Riding down with three others that I am pretty sure aren't ZipsNation afficianados. Staying at LaQuinta Inn Cary.I hope those who are going can share your travel experiences -- outside the tourney itself. I want some College Cup experts to learn from before I buy my tix to 2010's College Cup in beautiful Santa Barbara. I'd love to see the host school get a shot at stopping the defending champs. UCSB is noted for the top student rooting section in the NCAA. Do you hear what I'm sayin, Rowdies? http://www.ncaa.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/051409aaa.htmlI hear you loud and clear...just to give you the rowdies adventure monday morning...people started waiting at 1am and the last person to get a ticket showed up at 6:30am and the ticket forms were not given out until 9am monday and had to get tickets tuesday...i was fortunate to get one since i showed up at 5:30am, and 20 people waited in line for 2 hours and did not get a ticket through the university, some did get them off websites fortunately...
  13. here's a link for stanford's goal compilation of 2009 so far...
  14. Portland beat #15 N.C. State 2-1 as well. Boston College beating St. John's(NY) 1-0 right now. #3 Wake Forest beating UNC-Wilmington 1-0 right now as well...
  15. We will try our best; however, NCAA told UAPD that if we use anything that is a slur, or mention any names(teams included)(which we've done all year), they can kick us out...for good....supposedly. Talk about fair...
