  1. the seeding committee does not have to rely solely on the RPI....

the seeding committee.....knows that Akron would have won at Creighton except for a horrible off side call...

the seeding committee....knows that Akron's only loss was due to a red card.....

if Akron takes cares of business this weekend, the lowest that they would be seeded is #3...behind big east and acc tourney winner

  2. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/soccer-men/d1...mens_soccer_rpi

    outstanding news.....

Maryland was #2 last week, UCLA #3 and Zips #4....so Maryland and Zips changed spots

Notre Dame will face Connecticut Friday night in big East semis...Connecticut defeated them in regular season...

UCLA tied Cal last night....probably prevented them from moving up from #3 to #2

If Maryland wins the ACC tourney this weekend, they will move up next week...pull for Wake Forest to win the ACC turney

  3. some big games today in the big east...

guess I did not realize that Louisville had the best conference record during the regular season

    Saturday, November 3 2012

    Home Score Away

    2/2 Akron (14-1-2, 6-0-0 MAC) 7:30 PM Western Michigan (11-5-2, 3-2-1 MAC)

    5/6 Connecticut (14-2-1, 6-2-0 Big East) 1:00 PM 37 Villanova (12-5-2, 3-3-2 Big East)

    32 Syracuse (12-5-0, 5-3-0 Big East) 7:00 PM 6/7 Notre Dame (13-3-1, 5-2-1 Big East)

    7/4 Georgetown (15-2-1, 6-2-0 Big East) 7:00 PM 13/13 St. John's (10-3-4, 4-3-1 Big East)

    15/12 Louisville (12-4-1, 7-1-0 Big East) 7:00 PM 8/10 Marquette (15-2-1, 5-2-1 Big East)

  4. The MAC tournament could be a disaster for the MAC. WVU and Western Michigan are on the fringe of missing it while a team with NIU's record could make it? We are only going to end up with one team In the NCAA tournament unless Akron loses in the MAC tourney

West Virginia needs to win at BG next Saturday to get in.

Akron is the only team with an assured spot in the semis

    N. Illinois 3-1-1

    W. VA and BGSU 3-2-1

    W. Michigan 2-2-1

Buffalo is 2-3...but could still get in with 2 wins next week

    MAC schedule this week

    Tuesday

    N. Ill at W. Mich

    Buffalo at Hartwick

    Friday

    N. Ill at Buffalo

    Saturday

    W. VA at Bowling Green

    W. Michigan at Akron
