The common denominator is Akron needs to win. If we win = fans will come. Nobody wants to sit out in the cold and watch mediocre football. Aside from not producing a winning program on the field our merchandising department still SUCKS. It would be nice to go into the team store and be able to buy a Akron Zips Jersey of any sport vs having to buy from a student athlete selling their apparel under the table on Ebay or buying fake jerseys from dhgate made in China. I once emailed the AD asking about buying a pair of Lebron's Akron Zips colorway shoes the basketball team wears. I Told him I was also willing to add a donation on top of the purchase. Was pretty much told no. I Went right to ebay and got them. I would rather my money go to the University but the powers that be fail to see the bigger picture smh. @ZipsEquipment is my favorite Twitter Handle in regards to Univ Athletics on social media. Whoever runs that handle does a great job even though it irks me seeing merch us fans can't have.

I dunno why folks are down by this especially when we can barely beat FCS schools. I'm actually looking forward to this match up 1. I love going to the shoe 2. This match up gives us national attention. 3. Regardless how bad we are we always seem to play our best against power 5 schools. 4. and I rather we play a power 5 than an mid major the average Joe could care less about and the game be buried on ESPN Plus. 5. If you are mad we are playing the Buckeyes especially if they are the reigning National Champions I bet you probably have an active AARP Card.

Edit: issue got resolved. Now that the season is over I expect a big turnaround come next season. Should be a great off-season. Now time to focus on hoops

Friend who is a Kent State alum called me in the 4th quarter talking smack. I had no response for him but after their best player Chrishon McCray went down you saw a change in the game. He definitely saw it before me saying the game is not over. I kept brushing off our comeback saying i don't trust our kicker. He called the choke before me. Was great being on the phone with a Kent Alum witnessing the agony of defeat. We were debating both schools overall the whole time.

I will gladly eat crow. I checked out but they kept fighting. Hell of a comeback. The Wagon Wheel is back where it belongs. Go Zips

Watching this expected disaster

Today I saw our QB basically yelling at the sideline pointing at the play clock pleading for them to send him a play to run which he didn't get in time and resulted in a Delay of Game. Poor play starts with LEADERSHIP That coaching staff is setting up those players to fail.

Lol at not being able to get another "accomplished coach" How about we get a coach who can f&^&%in coach. Morehead hasn't accomplished a goddamn thing as a "Head Coach". I wish folks would stop giving him credit he has YET to achieve. Fordham = Not D1 Mississippi State = Had a brief run with players he didn't recruit which turned into an absolute train wreck that got him fired after 26 games going 14-12. Morehead has never built any program on this level. Not every assistant coach can be a Great Head Coach. Lets not act like we need Morehead more than he need's us.
