Mount Union is a Division III powerhouse with 13 national championships and have actually beat both Akron and Kent State before. My son plays DIII ball at a university in Ohio and after seeing them play Mount Union last month ya damn right I would bet against Akron. They put over 720 yards on us. Unlike you I actually watch all football and speak and reference based on what I know. I put Mount Union WR Mason Ashby (Canton OH) vs anyone on our offense. FYI Mason Ashby just completed a binge of 5 straight 100+ yard games. 50 catches, 740 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in seven games. Best believe a FBS team is scooping him up after this season. Like I been saying, right now Akron is no FBS team to me until they actually beat a damn FBS team.

Left over my ass. come on man. There is plenty of good talent out there. A great coach knows how to put together a good roster based on position and potential. Mount Union up the road with a much less budget has better talent than our Akron roster. The main issue is Joe Moorhead is not a Good Head Coach. Just because you were a great OC don't make you a Great Head Coach as it comes with more greater responsibility of scouting talent and putting together great coaching staff and roster and being a great leader and project manager to all. Hell Tom Arth is another prime example. Great assistant who is currently Steelers QB coach. Shitty head coach.

The same way other better programs do. = Better Coaching = Better Leadership. Again Moorhead handpicked all those "idiots". Blame the coach who created the Roster.

I dunno what cave you been in but Ohio HS Football is top 4 in the country which was why Canton McKinley versus Massillon sold out Paul Brown Tiger Stadium the same time Akron/Kent were playing. Columbus local TV broadcast 2 HS games a Week Fridays on Friday Night Rivals on WWHO (The CW Columbus) and OHSAA Game of the Week on Spectrum News 1 and one could argue at times the broadcast is better than any MAC Game on ESPN+ providing replays from multiple camera angles like a college game. I live in the Maryland DC area and know more whats going in in Ohio HS sports than Maryland and can watch the games from here! 7 Divisions in Football and 5 Divisions in Basketball and every HS State Championship game in both sports are on TV i can watch from Maryland. And best believe every single one of those games are sold out. Just around the corner from UA Archbishop Hoban High School sells out their stadium for every high profile match up. They last played at InfoCision Stadium in 2024 for the OHSAA Division II State Semifinal against Avon and they drew over 10,000. 5 state championships 2015 2016 2017 2018 2020 All Under the leadership of HC Tim Tyrrell who should be the next HC at Akron. Who enjoys their school playing in the lost depths of hell of ESPN+ while the Big Ten, SEC and ACC hog up the major the network channels on Saturday. While Akron was playing at 1pm. Indiana vs Michigan, Miami vs Pitt, LSU vs Auburn. And then we also got destroyed by Canton McKinley vs. Massillon up the road. Week night games are a lifeline to the MAC. Who cares to watch Akron or Kent games while Ohio State is playing? In viewership the MAC can't compete against power 5 conferences which is why they play during the week. Also most Mid Major schools are commuter schools therefore campuses are a ghost town on weekends. Weeknight games help draw students to games.

Nobody wants to sit and watch a pathetic team who can only beat Robert Morris. If we ever win = people will come.
