  1. Needed that stop
  2. Or if he's just the offensive coordinator.
  3. They really need a touchdown drive now
  4. There's the stupid Finley pass
  5. Mmm not good to miss the kick either
  6. That's an egregious missed pass interference
  7. Akron has over 300 yards in the half. It's been fine. Got another half.
  8. That was exceptional
  9. Obviously I've been no Moorhead fan. The playcalling has been just fine tonight.
  10. Kent State so far wants this more
  11. That was a bad defensive miscommunication. Bad bad
  12. The wind is doing things to kicks. So that there's been some weird kicking game follies isn't a shock.
  13. Touchdown Zips!
  14. Yes for sure.
  15. So that was bad.
  16. Totally agree. Get the points on the board. And let Deshields keep taking kill shots apparently
  17. Legitimately a heck of a crowd for the game tonight.
  18. Very true, Akron can't drop much. Like I've said, I expect more than last week. Side note...maybe we keep it to 7 PM kickoffs in the next MACtion contract, given there's no central time zone teams anymore?
  19. A very good article. Guess it depends what money ESPN is offering on a new deal to keep MAC attendance way down for the last of the season.
  20. I'd be surprised if we don't continue the pooch kickoffs that we saw last week against UMass.
  21. I'm not sure the requirement ever formally went away, but it's certainly not been enforced for quite awhile. Not sure getting booted out of FBS is the worst thing ever, but that's an entirely different discussion.
  22. Not sure I'd be ragging on any team for having "two remaining fans" given the only FBS team with fewer people attending games than Akron is the one that is 1-8 and plays 70 miles from its campus right now.
  23. Other thing I'd like to try with the MACtion...plaster ads everywhere and cut back the TV timeouts. See if we can't find a happy medium. Attendance on the weekdays should also be a bit better if you knew going in the 7 PM kickoff wasn't going to get you to your car by 11
  24. Given the MAC has very well shown that "even though Ohio State and Michigan play on Saturday, we draw tons better crowds on Saturdays" as a league...getting another Saturday would be a good enough compromise. The institutional problems with Akron are deeper than just "oh the Tuesday games keep people from the stadium in September," but that's a step they need to take. I do think legitimately, tomorrow's game against Can't will have more people than the UMass game did. Maybe not a lot more, but more.
  25. This is what the MAC schools trying to get any local interest really have to harp on with this next TV deal. OK, sure they'll lose a few bucks from ESPN by getting rid of the Tuesday games...but even a Saturday at 30 degrees with snow flurries would have an OK crowd.
