I'm just glad we got a TV game since we are on the road. We get to watch our Zips in action in what can be a very nice road victory.

I see on the schedule they have a game at Munson Stadium in Canton so there's another option.

Anyone know the latest on Payne? Did he find a prep school or is he done for the year? Not sure Akron is at the top of the list but I believe he has an offer.

Agreed that field is an eye sore in the middle of campus. It would be great to play more at Canal. Maybe baseball gets a little renovation someday. After the JAR of course.

The Beep Test - Chivas USA Zemanski is monster. He gets better every single year and is a great representative for Akron Soccer. Its great to see all the former Zips in the MLS.

Its always good to see Akron basketball talked about right along with Texas, Purdue, and other big time programs. "When Akron had the opportunity to update its uniforms this past offseason, assistant coach Rick McFadden suggested breaking away from the school's traditional blue and gold color scheme and adding silver to the palette. Coach Keith Dambrot liked the idea, so this season the Zips have introduced home white jerseys with silver and blue trim and silver alternate jerseys with white and blue trim. "It looked pretty good and there weren't that many teams that had them," Dambrot said. "Anything you can do at the mid-major level to stand out, it helps you. We're always looking for ways to recruit better players and take our program to the next level, so giving kids a little different type of uniform is another way to do it.""

Very tough road test. Especially with you know who on Saturday. I think the Zips will be ready for the test, 71-67 win.

That would be a tough wait. Loved watching Luke play, and I wish he had more time as a Zip. Best of luck to him wherever he lands.
