Amen brother! Can't wait for the Zips to drag home a Nebraska carcass in Week 14. Too bad Nebraska won't be able to pull off 5-wins. Who in the hell are they going to beat on their remaining schedule? Purdue...Minnesota...Illinois...Troy? LOVE seeing those Crybaby Nebraska fans eat a piece of humble-pie...personally would love for us to serve them one as well.

Let's hope Nebraska finds a way to stumble to 5-6 needing this game and we agree to do it as the last game of the year so we can reach win #9, and a first victory over a Big-10 team. Go Zips.

The first line in that Op Ed said it best: "Once again the University of Akron board of trustees is taking the university down the road to disaster by gutting core academic programs. A university that does not understand and support education in the liberal arts is not a university. It is a community college." We might as well stop calling ourselves the UNIVERSITY of Akron, and resign ourselves to our proper name of "Hilltop-High". Fitting, because you'd be seem to be quite the appropriate representative for such an institution.

Week 1 wrapped up with a cancellation between Akron and Nebraska. Looks like the MAC will need to wait another week before it can get a crack at flying the MAC Jolly Roger, as the MAC goes 5-6; all wins coming against FCS teams, and all losses coming against D-1 conferences.

This kinda sucks that the game is cancelled. Nebraska was a 4-win BIG-10 team last year. Even with a new coach...this is their first game with him. This was a golden opportunity to steal a BIG-10 win. Even though most of us didn't think Akron could or would win...oh well...see you all at home vs Morgan State.

I bet their getting those Grad Assistants calling around now...

Yeah I wasn't sure...because I know their a bigger stadium/team so I didn't know if that would be too costly to do. That means it wouldn't be on TV though

I see what you're saying. I haven't made a decision on what I'm doing yet; but looking at the schedule there are 6 games slated for ESPN3 2 for ESPN+. There's a free 7-day trial for ESPN+ and both of those games are a Home game and against Kent @ Kent so I'll probably be at that one in person. So I guess it's mostly a nothing burger this year; but I'm just worried that they'll expand on this in the future.

Everyone keeps saying how this is going to be a tough year...how is it going to be any more tough then last year? (I am legitimately asking I've kinda had Zips football on the back burner after the MAC East championship game).
