Totally agree. That QB scares me. But Akron showed us that they can come back in the 2nd half already...so if we can continue being that 2nd-half team B+ effort should be more than enough.

With the way I've been seeing the Zips play the last two weeks; it's theirs for the taking. Make Rourke regret his decision to not come to Akron. Go Zips.

EMU Army Kent State Toledo TCU Purdue It is quite possible Nebraska may go 0-11, and screw them. I want their figurative head on a spike under our MAC Jolly Roger. EMU looks pretty decent! I'm kinda scared to play them later in the year, as I am with Buffalo. I'm the biggest Bowden-Zips honk out there...but those two teams scare me. Ball State doesn't impress me at all. Despite being 1-3 I think Kent has had some decent showing considering what they've been the last couple of years. I feel like they're a 2012 Akron Zips this year.

Our Special teams always sucks. But I'm really getting tired of "illegal block in the back" penalties. I feel like those, like holding calls, are quickly becoming the phantom flags that refs go to all the time.

The Zips don't look over matched in this game...TBH. This is a very winnable game if we can get the offense to settle down a little.

Yeah while watching the 2nd half I did not see a superior Big-10 team on the field, I saw two teams that were almost evenly matched. That Michigan game in 2013 was an example of a Better team (talent wise) that we almost beat. This Northwestern team was not that much more talented than we are IMHO. The biggest factor I saw though was all in the body language. The Zips started gaining confidence and believing they could win, even after that disastrous first half. Northwestern started to look shaken and looked as if they were staring to believe that they were going to lose. That goes down to leadership and coaching. Huge positive for the Zips that we appraently have leaders on the team who stepped up and did not lose confidence.

...except that the Zips DID win...by having enough to come from behind...and having to play catchup basically the entire game. The offense was able to cobble together two TD's in the second half at crucial moments. That's not really nailing it...
