    I didn't realize its been that long. That needs to change tonight.

    Because its a lose-lose type situation. Even if you win, people aren't excited because they don't view those teams highly. And if you lose, its embarrassing to lose to a local team.

    Perhaps they sell more knowing not everyone who buys a ticket will show up.

    To be fair, there was a guy scalping tickets outside the JAR last night. Just one guy, but still...

    They still use players to go into dorms to promote games. It just happened earlier this week to promote Wednesday and Saturday's games.

    Maybe season ticket holders should use their tickets?

    I walked in there today and was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Its a nice greeting for fans as they walk in the building. Hopefully more relatively inexpensive things like this can be done throughout the arena.

    Not officially part of the renovations, but there's a nice, new mural on the lobby wall when you walk into the main entrance of the JAR.

    Now we just wait and see how many weekday games we have.

    The conference opponents for 2015 were released today and it appears the MAC has given us a mulligan on playing an extremely easy schedule. No Toledo, WMU, or NIU. Replaced Ball State with CMU, which is slightly more difficult but its at home instead of on the road. http://www.gozips.com/sports/fball/2014-15/releases/20150108wbleh7

    What are the chances Aodhan stays with Orlando as they move into the MLS? EDIT: Never mind. I now see that he has already been released.

    Well, now he just came back out to the bench so maybe he's ok.

    Robotham is hurt and it looked somewhat serious. And we play WMU and Toledo next week.

    We all complain about attendance but it could be a lot worse. There are five (out of 12 other) d-1 schools in Ohio that have worse attendance than Akron, including all three of the others in NE Ohio (Can't State, CSU, YSU). Although, to be fair, they haven't been as successful in recent years.

    Interesting. I never knew it was used for graduations. I agree that isn't the first impression you want to give high school students and their families.

    It may not be keeping many away, but its certainly not attracting anyone.

    I thought graduations were in EJ Thomas. Even the local high school ones.

    I thought it might be a comment about the perceived amount of crime that occurs in Youngstown. Enjoy the game and give me some comparisons of how you feel about the JAR compared to YSU's Beeghly Center. I feel they're very similar buildings.
