  1. Seems pretty strange to have that long of a break and then just continue on with the same season months later. I would like to see the season run at the same time as college baseball, February to May. Although that wouldn't lengthen the season, I suppose.
  2. I think spreading the games out slightly more would be beneficial. Nothing too drastic though.
  3. I emailed AFC and they said that particular type of polo is exclusive to Adidas teams so they can't do it. They can do a similar shirt, however.
  4. The women's games are a great value at just $6 for general admission anywhere in the lower bowl.
  5. This is in no way related to anything previously discussed on the forum but...does anyone know where I could get one of the Adidas Polos that the coaches and players wear? The one with the stripes up the sleeves and the star above the Akron logo. I would love to give one as a Christmas gift but have not been able to find one.
  6. The first RPI is out and the Zips are at #85. Tomorrow's opponent (Western Illinois) is at #336. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-rpi
  7. That explains it a little. However, still the smallest crowd (2,378) since January 2, 2013 against Coppin State (2,227).
  8. They don't play any non-conference home games and do not have a home game until January 3.
  9. I think they should be able to do both.
  10. Should be an easy win for the Zips. Although Pine Bluff did give Ohio a good game earlier this season. I'll take the Zips by 18.
  11. Zips didn't play too bad really. Bryant hit some tough 3's to keep themselves in it. I'll take the win and move forward.
  12. He's very good, I'll leave it at that.
  13. You think so? I hope you're right!
  14. 8:02 tip, according to twitter.
  15. Not that this is relevant to anything being discussed on here but Penn State is offering $5 general admission tickets to tonight's men/women doubleheader. https://twitter.com/PennStateMBB/status/536917311849242626
  16. Looks like Penn State is 6.5 point favorites.
  17. I was agreeing with you. They have time but decide to do other things with it.
  18. Students at Akron today (which I am, although do not fall into the following group) find any reason possible NOT to go to a sporting event. Whether it is watching other sports on TV, such as Browns games instead of a Sunday Akron soccer game, or going to a party, or staying in to watch Netflix. Its kinda pathetic a lot of the time.
  19. I expected a couple more points. Maybe like 7 point favorites, but its a rivalry game and I guess anything can happen.
  20. Am I the only one who knew Pat was capable of this from the very beginning?
  21. Yes, I was including spots that will be filled by default in games next week. And there is almost always enough teams but sometimes just barely, which would help our chances.
  22. Actually, the winner of Washington-Oregon St tonight becomes eligible too. So 73 teams are eligible, essentially. There's really 3 spots left.
  23. Wyoming (vs Boise) and Fresno (vs Nevada) can be eliminated with loses in games that are kicking off right now.
  24. 70 teams currently eligible (if you exclude Georgia Southern and App St). The winners of Northwestern-Illinois and Virginia-Virginia Tech will become eligible and the losers will be eliminated. Therefore, you essentially have 72 teams eligible and 38 teams eliminated.
  25. Virginia beats Miami to move to 5-6. They play VT next week, who is also 5-6. One will become eligible, the other will be eliminated.
