clueless, just clueless.Shouldn't you hire a businessman rather than a coach for the position that Boyages has?Someone with a marketing background perhaps?This is a DI conference with DII personnel.I've made the same observations about some of the actions our Athletic Department.

That's all and good...however, he's a high official with a DI conference now.Despite his background, once you reach this level of responsibility you must have the capacity to act like a professional.Makes me wonder what other situations in which he has lost his cool.To just become so defensive and rude when you are talking to the people who justify his job (the customer) is in appropriate.This wouldn't work in the business world.By the time you reach this level or stage in life, he should know better.It's nice he apologized, but this should have never happened in the first place.I had about a 30 minute conversation with Rick today.He was seriously remorseful for snapping in those e-mails. This guy has a background in coaching and probably isn't used to being diplomatic.He seems to be a legitimately nice guy who really likes Akron. He has personal connections with Dambrot, Dials and Joyce. -
No offense taken...I must say you people are just as crazy about your sport team as the people in Pittsburgh are about the Steelers. Please no offense to you Browns Fans.

We fill a minor league baseball stadium just about every night for 60 or 70 some home games.I think once we get a nice new stadium on campus with the suites...you'll see a dramatic change in attendance...especially if we win.

Agree completely.Get one of those copper bowls or something for a safe, controlled event.Please..DO NOT LET THIS GET OUT OF HAND. IF YOU CAN'T GUARENTEE THAT...FORGET THE IDEA IMMEDIATELY!!!Seriously. Fires on campus in NE Ohio are always a bad thing. Be safe & legal. This story can still have some traction nationally and bring pressure to bear on the NCAA/NIT and bring us some notice for 26 wins with narrow losses. I've never heard of anyone doing a bracket burning before and it would go over well in the media if done properly. -

Timmy was strong in his e-mail, however this response is highly unprofessional.If I were to respond to a customer like that where I work, I would soon be selling pencils at the corner of E 9th and Euclid.These guys in their insulated world forget who the customer is, resulting in rude e-mails such as the one written by this guy.Timmy, you should forward his e-mail to Chryst, who should insist that Boyages write you an apology.

What's WZIP doing these days.When I was sports director at WAUP in '79, we had a weekly call in show called Sportsview.We had some taped pieces in there, interviews with Coach Dennison...it was all Akron all the time.Why can't WZIP do something like this.Would be good experience for their sports guys too.

C-USA is not the answer to our problems.Even if we move to a "larger" conference...we're going to have to perform better than we are now...unless you just want to be a dormat for a better conference.We've got to start consistently winning in the MAC and beating quality non-conference teams before we think about conference change.
