The Domenik Hixon Show

I'm disappointed in Tirico..."Are you kiddin' me" that he doesn't remember calling the 2005 MACC.Also, I think he mistakenly said that Domenik went to Whitehall high school in Akron and never mentioned UA.

Ya gotta remember ESPN [stupid] is the same network that said Wright St. beating Mich St. was the biggest win in school history, despite the fact that Wright St. won back to back National Championships. All ESPN [stupid] knows is the BCS schools and history.

Went to the game as we were in New York. Great game for Hixon. Just saw the highlights on ESPN, and Scott Van Pely recognized the Zips connection. Off to bed for now.
Great game by DH. They did mention UA once just to correct themselves.
It would be nice to have another UA product become a well known NFL player.Since I am a UA alum and I live five minutes from Whitehal High School I couldn't be happier with the way last night went for Hixon. It's funny, I never heard anyone talk about him much down here until the Everett collison last year. Now, with the Giants Super Bowl win, his TD return against the Patriots in the regular season and the opening of his summer football camp here I hear about him all the time.Congrats to Domenik. I hope he has a breakout season.

Congrats to DH. Looks like he has secured a spot in the NFL for another season, even if the Giants don't keep him. The higher-paid star receivers probably don't like to see a performance like that from a relative unknown.I didn't get to see too much of the game...did Chase play a lot and turn in a good performance?

I think I might grab him in the later rounds in my fantasy draft :thumb:GO ZIPS!!!!!!
That's what I was thinking. I wont take him too early because I suspect everyone in my league (unless there are Giants fans) will not know him.Did you see Domenik really turn on the afterburners about half way through his kickoff return. He's got a serious third gear

Chase had one tackle per yahoo stats. Did see him on screen breifly, but I didn't watch too much of the game so I don't know how much he contributed beyond the one tackle.

I play in an 8 team league, otherwise I think I might take him even earlier. I know, you're not supposed to draft with your "heart", but how many chances do you get (unless you play in a league that has positions for defense) to assure yourself of getting a Zip on your roster? (OK, I DID have Frye briefly for similar reasons :D )To throw my 2 cents in on another comment, I don't think there is any way the Giants don't keep Hixon this year, unless another team in even greater need at receiver makes them an "offer", the likes of which is normally associated with a certain ficticious resident of north Jersey who is well know in "Sanitation Consulting" circles

We had our draft early (last week) due to lots of people being out of town for the next several weeks. I picked up Hixon as my last pick just so I could have a Zip on my team and so I could add "Go Zips!" as I drafted him. I figured I'd keep him for a couple of weeks at most and drop him. Now I am hoping I'll actually get to play him. I used to draft Charlie Frye when he was with the Brown's just so I could have a Zip on my team. I actually used him as a starter once as an emergency, and I believe he did okay, but I'd love to have a Zip who scored on a consistant basis and could be part of my starting lineup.

4 catches, 102 yards, 1 TD in the first half in his first start. Don't hurry back, Plexiglas. :)
over 25ypc, and he scores often.... after this and the showing in that pre-season game, he has shined in limited playing time.I dunno why NY staff doesn't wake up and give him more PT

He finished with that stat line receiving, and also had one carry for 15 yards, I also saw on a halftime show just now that Michael Strahan predicted Hixon would score a touchdown today, then they showed the touchdown and it was a heck of a catch. Maybe he turns this year into a big payday. Hixon fieldhouse, anyone? :)
