ZachTheZip
http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/in..._breakdown.htmlNot much we haven't heard already, but it's nice to see at least one guy in the media think we're better than what the predictions have been saying.Good insight into the 3-3-5 wearing down over time being our biggest defensive problem. GP1
I would like to refer Elton to any number of my rants about the 3-3-5 over the years. The reason the defense tires over the course of the year is the players playing it are too small and are beat up by the end of the season. Size matters my friends. Dr Z
I wish Ellen would have backed this statement up with some stats."Defensively, the 3-3-5 defense, is good for making big plays. But historically, as the season wears on, this unit wears down."

This brings up a question in my mind. Will Andre still be returning punts given this increase in workload? And if he does, I sure hope he has the most endurance on the team. The more Jones is on the field, the better.

The red line represents our averages. 29 points given up per game. & 409 yards per game. The first half of the season we were under our average 3 times and over our average 3 times in points against. The second half of the season we were under our average 3 times and over our average 3 times in points against. The first half of the season we were under our average 3 times and over our average 3 times in points against. The second half of the season we were under our average 4 times and over our average ONLY 2 times in yards against. While I hate the 3-3-5. I'm not sure I see a whole lot of truth to that statement. Just cause you print something in the PD doesn't make it true.I know this is only one year and he used the word "history", but I took the most recent history due to time. This isn't related, but your comment reminded of a number of D Smith's "adverturesome" kick returns. I don't know if the Rubber Bowl lights were a problem for him or not, but I was never particularly comfortable with him in that role full-time.
