johnnyzip84
The oddsmakers still have 'Cuse as a 4 to 6 point favorite.LinkI think Zips can win a shootout IF we can at least hold the rushing totals below 200 yds. With Jones playing more D (as many of us expect, anyway) and BWill getting more comfortable back there, I would think a few INT's could be available for the potential game-changing return. But this will only present itself if the Zips can accomplish the former.

Ryno aka Menace
Option 1. NC State repeat baby!! The Zips send another BCS coach that's on the hot seat, into the job hunting market!!! SU Fans will start screaming, "Look how far we have fallen, we can't beat the Zips!" And I will have my smug smile on my face when co-workers ask me how my Zips did this weekend, and I say they won of course!Option 2 We manage to lose a game that we should have won a la Cinci and I do this to my co-workers instead

Here is the verbiage from GoZips.com:Don’t Believe Everything You ReadAndre Jones is listed as a senior, but came to Akron as a partial qualifier, sitting out his freshmanseason at the University. He is on pace to meet the NCAA requirement to earn a fifth year and has indicatedhe will return in 2009, the year he will earn his degree. Also, though listed as a wide receiver, Jones played both ways at Wisconsin with some depthissues at cornerback. He responded with six tackles and forced a fumble at the goal line, which Akronrecovered to keep the score 17-7 in the Badgers’ favor in the second quarter. Wally B
How bout this tidbit from ESPN's bottom10!"Are You Down?": Syracuse managed only 68 yards in the second half against Northwestern. The Orange have won one of their past nine games. Yup, they are down.

The Orange have won one of their past nine games. Yup, they are down.Does anyone know anything about Bain? He was supposed to play last week. He hasn't practiced at all. Even when he is back it will take him a couple of weeks of practice and games to get the rust out and get in game shape. We finally have a stud at a position of need and he is hurt... Lee Adams
i'd love to say i believe in the ZIPS right now but...NOPE...this is one of those classic set ups where the pitiful home team finally decides to 'win one for the gipper', looks at the ZIPS as a patsy and WINS...unfortunately...too many loose ends on our side to win on the road...i'll be at the DOME anyway... It looks like Bain is doubtful for Syracuse (Razor's Blog, see link). This makes it a more difficult task, but I still think the Zips can win a shootout. I'll go Zips 34, Orange 31.Link
