ZippyAlum
I wonder if DK took my advice and drank dill pickle juice before the game?????? If he did and it worked I think we should get busy and send the athletic department several cases of pickles because he played like superman or maybe like Popeye and the pickles were his spinach. Remember the earlier chant, "Kennedy for President!!!!" Great job!
HELLOZIPS
Maybe we need to give pickle juice to our defense. You think it would help them stop the run? Or maybe blitz the QB?
akronad
Congrats DK. MAC East offensive player of the week.

MDZip
And a nice mention in Mark Schlabach's ESPN's "On the Mark" column, under "Ground Churning Tailbacks".http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/notebook?pag...k/onthemark1020And this from a guy who at the beginning of the season was just part of a three man rotation (not that I wouldn't love to have Alex Allen back too). Quickzips
The real question here is how long can he stay healthy and keep up the pace he has been on the last couple weeks? We've seen this type of potential from DK before, but he's gotten banged up far too easily and when he does he starts running East and West instead of North and South and he goes down at even the slightest signs of contact. I think having Andrew Johnson back to spell him 8-12 carries per game will definitley help. Also, Moorehead needs to ride this running game even more. Especially, say, when we're in the fourth quarter with a 2 score lead. Keep the ball in the hands of these guys and you don't risk letting Jacq beat you with his boneheaded 4th quarter play. Dan Kadar
Aww, thanks guys. But to answer your question, I avoided the pickle juice.Wait...
skip-zip
I said this in a previous post, but I will say it again. We all thought Dennnis would be a star a few years ago. Last year seemed to sort of put a lid on his career, but he bounced back. Nice job. Actually, his rushing averages this year are very, very good. With the exception of the Can't game...but I really thing they took some big chances bringing a lot of people up into the box, and making us throw the ball. Other than that, DKs per carry numbers are looking pretty good this year. Again...can someone confirm that Allen still definitely has one more year left? Captain Kangaroo
Again...can someone confirm that Allen still definitely has one more year left?Allen has 1 more year left. Depending upon his appeal for a 6th season, he may have 2.
MDZip
Aww, thanks guys. But to answer your question, I avoided the pickle juice.Wait...If you can run for 277 yards, we'll change the thread so it can count for your initials too, whether you drink the pickle juice or not. skip-zip
Thanks Captain. I'd hate to be left with no experienced RBs next year. And frankly, at times I've felt like Allen was the best of the 3 primary RBs that we have. So, maybe we'll be lucky enough to have our best guy back next year. MDZip
Dennis Kennedy is also only 49 yards from 2,000 in his career at Akron and one touchdown shy of 20.
