Dr Z
Never heard of Vincent Dorsey, but good job. Hope he took DLM's spot.
ZachTheZip
Very nice article. I love to see great players at UA come back after they graduate and keep contributing to the team.I especially liked the video at the end of the article. P.S. Vincent Dorsey covers the Zips for the Buchtelite. Apparently you can submit your own articles to Ohio.com now.
Dr Z
P.S. Vincent Dorsey covers the Zips for the Buchtelite. Apparently you can submit your own articles to Ohio.com now. Thanks, I didn't know that. So basically anybody with spare time can do a better job than DLM now. Good idea by the BJ, even if it wasn't originally theirs. Not saying it wasn't, just guessing.

Blue & Gold
Now that was a great article! We get far too few human interest stories on the Zips' players from the ABJ. Additionally, it was informative in that I had no idea Getsy was back w/ the team as a grad assistant. Great work Vincent!
Ryno aka Menace
What does a grad assistant get paid, if they get paid at all? It seems like if you want to break into the college coaching profession that is the easiest and quickest way.

It seems like if you want to break into the college coaching profession that is the easiest and quickest way.The graduate assistantship usually involves a tuition waiver (you still pay the fees) and a stipend (room or board not included). As an engineering grad assistant, my stipend was 13k in the masters program and 16k in the Ph D program. I know a fellow Ph D candidate in the college of education and his stipend is 11k.So, i don't know the exact answer to your question but that is the grad. assistantship ballpark
ZZZips
I've had the pleasure of getting to know Vincent over the last two years. He has sat next to me at nearly every home men's basketball game for the last two seasons and I always look forward to seeing his stories in the Buchtelite. Vincent has a knack for not only covering the game but also the emotional and personal side of the players. If every student at UA worked as hard to excel and overcome obstacles as Vincent, every student would graduate with honors in three years.Great article Vincent. I hope to see you next week at the JAR for the exhibition game with Walsh.

Who knows maybe I'll hit the lottery, and won't have to worry about income and can then chase my dream to be a college coach.
