Captain Kangaroo
I'll be there, probably pulling into the lot around around 4:30pm. I believe the lovely Mercedes takes the stage at 5pm, so I should be in good shape.Zips 42 Toledo 39Igor does his Alcorn impersonation, hitting a 56 yarder at the final gun. To set up the play, the Zips take the ball to the 29 yard line. We have 12 men in the huddle, so it moves back to the 34. A subsequent false start moves it back to the 39...then Igor works his Voodoo Magic!Johnnyzip84 relives his youth...rushes the field...trips over some stadium rubble, and breaks his hip. Alex Allen lends him a crutch.
Aaron
I'll be there for certain, but may not get there until the band is kicking off pre-game. I'm looking forward to our first 'playoff' game tonight!
bUAkronG
I will definitely be there.I predict another strong game from us with our usual 4th quarter woes but I still think the Rockets will come up short in the end and we win.Zips 37Rockets

Call me crazy, but I'm going to predict:Zips 45Rockets

akronad
Unfortunately, I have a meeting tonite that will run well past 8:00.Knowing our penchance for 4th quarter collapses and Toledo's incentive since Tom is leaving , I am forecasting a very close game. The Zips will prevail by the slimmest of margins, 34-33.
johnnyzip84
The Leakin actually has TWO stories on tonight's game. The 1st covers the Zips "second season" while the 2nd discusses UT RB Morgan Williams from Canton McKinley.1st Link2nd Link
g-mann17
I believe that refreshed O-line and D-line along with Bruce having time to go out and buy a pair of hands will be the big turning point. Jeremy Bruce 115 yds 2 TDs in an Akron win over Toledo... 31-
ZachTheZip
The players are hungry. They have it set in their minds that this is their chance to win the East. They have worked on fundamentals that they were sketchy on in the first half of the season, and they have had 18 days to prepare for the Rockets. We will win tonight. Quickzips
This game looked like a blowout for the 15 minutes, now... 21-10 and we've got a ballgame. Can someone please inform these guys that the game is in fact 60 minutes long.

Zip_ME87
If it's any consolation, I don't get ESPNU here in my hotel in Houston, TX or any of the nearby sports bars, either. Hopefully, someone is enjoying my empty seat in the Rubber Bowl tonight.

bobbyake
Watching the game on TV, does not look like there are many people at the Rubber Bowl. 6,000 to 9,000. Wish I could have gone but didn't get out of class until 10:00 and the game is too late to bring the family.

bUAkronG
Great game for the Zips. We were very effective offensively. Our defense concerns me however. I thought Jacq lead the offense exceptionally and the O-Line was on fire allowing Kennedy to rush for 150 some odd yards. DK had a great game. He was very patient. I think the Zips can build off this win and hopefully come out with their third win in a row next thursday!I do not recall reading anywhere about an Andre Jones injury. He certainly did not play today. Any one have info on AJ?
