GoZips88
A great part of my childhood summers. The Indians were really bad but it was still fun listening to Herb help call the games.Loved it when he was less than perfect with his calls ..."Line drive base hit centerfield, Lofton goes over and makes the catch. One out."Rest in peace, Herb.

Nobody listening with me knew which one he meant until he said that Vizquel was camped under it The Indians have lost an important member of the family...RIP Herb. He got all excited because he thought the Tribe had won the series. Tom Hamilton corrected him and of course, we all know what happened after that. Another Cleveland sports disappointment.Maybe he can talk to the big guy upstairs and ask for a Tribe World Series Title in the near future.I loved that guy!He will be missed by many. Let'sGoZips94
I was born around the time he retired; don't really remember listening to him. I love listening to him on Wahoo What A Finish! the Indians movie on the 1994-1995 seasons. Thank you Herb for a great voice.

Zippysgotagun
Bill Livingston recap on some Herb Score memoriesJoe Posnanski has some good thoughts as well. Reading this enlightened me as to why I have a general distaste for Sportscasters (notable exceptions: Frenchy and Dunn. Notable not exceptions: Matt Underwood and Rick Manning). They just aren't Herb Score.
