Z.I.P.
There is no link I can find to a live video or even a crummy gamecast for the Akron home game @ Northwestern! The CBS College Sports link from Northwestern has links for other games, but the only D-1 game is YESTERDAY'S Indiana blowout of Meechigan. If anyone has ANYTHING please give the rest of us a hint. We gotta have our football fix.BTW -- Weather Channel an hour ago called for 3-6 inches of snow in Chicagoland over the next 2-3 hours. Yippee. It's a freakin' NCAA Wonderland. It's a freakin' NCAA Wonderland. So let me get this straight..they cancel the game in Akron because of the field conditions (something that the NCAA cannot predict 4 days out) in favor of a game in Evanston where the field conditions may end up being no better because of the weather (something that IS predictable 4 days out). The ball is not going anywhere when played on the ground. This just makes the fact that the game was moved even worse.
zippyrifle32
i didn't realize that the field was right on the water

Z.I.P.
we do not look like we are playing that wellGametracker working at least. Under 4 minutes in first half remaining. Still 0-0. NWU has about 5 shots to 2 or 3 for Zips. But I feel something good coming on. Maybe frostbite off Lake Michigan.

Captain Kangaroo
The video link works for me. You just need to go to the Northwestern soccer page, find the Akron match, and click on "watch it" to the right. I did need to download some Microsoft software to enable the viewer, but it was pretty much automatic.Try clicking here if you're having problems
joshgozips
So who has the pleasure of fishing the ball out of Lake Michigan when kicked out of play?

ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net
The waves crashing in from Lake Michigan is a nice touch! It's a beautiful campus...it better be for what they charge to go there No, on days like this those waves crashing in add to the misery of horrible Chicago winters. I have lots of family there and consider it almost a second hometown, and IMO the winters there are worse than here. No, Lee Jackson would have most likely been a better option from a sheer misery standpoint than that field. Come on Zips! Let's kick some Mildpussy ass out there in the 2nd half.SeeTeeZipper

johnnyzip84
It seems like with whatever directional wind there is out there, it's at the Zip's backs this half
Z.I.P.
Play is in front of the Northwestern goal early in second half. Akron has four shots and about three equadros (corner kicks). Get one in the back of the net boys!
