It is so predictably hilarious that any time OSU gets a mention on the board, insecure "OSU Fan" MUST puff up his chest and support his school. It's like tossing a dough ball to a carp.Carp.jpgJealousy is the most laughable excuse "OSU Fan" has in his weak line of retorts. If anyone wants to be a Buckeye fan, the only thing stopping them is $15.00 to go to Wal Mart and buy a red T shirt (summer attire) and red sweatshirt (winter attire). BAM...your on the bandwagon 24/7!UA Soccer 2 winsOSU Soccer 0 winsOHHH...is that yet another doughball being tossed? :lol:carpbirdseed.jpg
So reminding someone that Ohio is the Buckeye state is chest puffing. You need to come back down to reality.Fact is that Ohio is the Buckeye state. Someone calling you a Buckeye has nothing to do with colleges.I guess you won't eat the Buckeye candy either. The chocolate and peanut butter yummy. After all, if you eat those you must be an OSU frontrunner fan and despise Akron. :puke: You guys are so hell bent on hating OSU that you can't see that you are the ones making the big deal out of it. You are so ridiculously trying to turn everything into OSU hate that you can't really see what fools you look like.I would bet that if a neutral person with no ties to anything Ohio related came to this thread that they would see some of you are over the top.I merely said this is the Buckeye state and all your panties got in a wad. I guess I am wrong. This must be the "whatever Akron fans want to call it state" Carry on.

I preface my opinion on this "so you're a buckeye" debate with saying that OSU is my 120th favorite FBS team, and will always remain at the bottom. They're basically my least favorite team in all college sports. You don't have to agree with me, but that's my right and I will defend it vigorously to no end.Now getting to the matter at hand. I think it's pretty obvious that "buckeye" in this context means resident of Ohio or resident of the "buckeye state". Therefore, while I don't LOVE being referred to as a "buckeye" I am not offended like when someone just ASSUMES I'm an OSU fan when they find out I live in Ohio. So to me it's not a big deal and we shouldn't get upset about it. Here is an appropriate parallel, and it just happens to come from the title of one of my favorite sports movies of all-time. Of course I'm talking about Hoosiers, which is clearly all about high school basketball in the hoops crazy state of Indiana, but has next to nothing to do with IU in Bloomington.BTW, while I enjoy Reese's Cups I actually DO refuse to eat those chocolate/peanut butter spheres on principle :D

I agree with the fact that Ohio is the "buckeye state" irregardless of OSU being the buckeyes. However, Captain is right. Zipgrad01's post practically became a thesis paper without even being double spaced. It's a little scarey how that type of post happens every time. I love the "doughball" analogy. They can't freaking help it.

So... back on topic. This Diamond guy looks like a good pick up at Corner.
I think if the Buckeyes make him an offer he will dump us like a hot potato.
Here we go again...
Hopefully it was a joke....
Yeah, lets hope. It is rather hard to tell on the internet like this though. Sometimes I can't tell if someone is joking or just stupid.
