ZippyTuba11
I still think the logo is a bit of a joke, with it being inside and all. At least the person that wears it will get to see it.

vmd9
i guarantee if they sold these somewhere on campus, or around campus there would be hundreds lining up to buy them. Someone should call Nike and tell them to send a few thousand to the SU Bookstore!!!
MDZip
I finally got the shoes, they are pretty nice. I think I will only wear them to tournament games. I attached a picture in case you want to get a better look at them. I folded down the inside flap on the shoes so you could see where the UA logo was placed. Fairly well hidden but at least it's there. Also on the sole it has "LeBron" on one side and "unstoppable" on the other (couldn't he at least have put (Ak)(LeB)ron on the one side? ). With the way this year's playoffs are going, he might be right. By the way did anyone notice at the end of Game 2 against Atlanta, when Joe Smith was shooting a foul shot, there was an ad for Akron up on the scoreboard? I'm just hoping it worked as subliminal advertising. Anyway, here are the shoes (did anyone else manage to get a pair, did they get sold around Akron?):

Actually they were on both upper corner scoreboards the ENTIRE game. I thought that was pretty cool.

Zip_ME87
I'm confused about which shoes are actually for our team. I thought the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier II University of Akron PE was the shoe designed specifically for our Men's Basketball team at the name would indicate. I like the shoe with the Akron Skyline, but I would much prefer to have these Blue & Gold beauties (or something similar), especially since the UA logo is actually visible. You can see them on Humpty Hitchens from a link earlier in this threadhttp://uaim.dyndns.info/photo_galleries/_A...e/021109015.htmThose are not available publicly as far as I know, I think they are exclusively for the UA men's team. The other shoes are the collectors edition (who would have ever thought sneakers would become collector's items?) that are available to the general public. From what I understand there were only about 3,000 pairs made.
Blue & Gold
And unfortunately I don't believe any were available locally. I asked @ 3 different stores and they all said you'd have to go to Chicago or NYC.

I believe I've seen one for some team in Central Ohio.
