bigzipguy Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Cleve St up 13 over Wake Forrest late in first half. Why couldn't the Zips have been matched up against what seems to be an undisciplined team? Quote
GP1 Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 It's amazing what a good coach Waters is. He can take a group of previously poorly coached great athletes and turn them into something good.Cedric Jackson was absolutely great last night. In big games, a lot needs to go right and you need your best player to be at the top of his game. CSU got both and now they are on to the second round. Quote

I really enjoy these NE Ohio rivalries - YSU, CSU (potentially) and, of course Can't State. Fans can make the drives and there is a lot of regional bragging rights on the line. Unfortunately, I can't believe Waters didn't want to play Akron this year! We were supposed to be waaaay down and everyone figured CSU was going to be good - I believe they were picked by the media to win the Horizon League. So if Waters was afraid to play us this year, I don't have high hopes for next year. CSU is losing their two best players (Cedric Jackson and J'nathan Bullock) so I'll bet Waters runs away and hides from us. He most definitely fears the Roo! Quote
Kangaroo Craig Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Great to see CSU make a run. I think they can beat Arizona too. I loved seeing the Suckeyes go down. I can't stand those front running fans of theirs who think that "Being from Ohio" is a reason to root for them. The last time I checked, OSU wasn't the only major school from Ohio. Not even the Only BCS school (Cincinnati), as if that matters either. Go mid-majors (Hate that term too)! Down with the so called power conferences, especially the overrated Big 10, er 11. I think in the end it will be Louisville. They are the best team from the best conference. Pittsburgh has the horses to make a run, but they always seem to choke come tournament time. Quote

Zipsrifle Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Who cares! Sign a contract or something! It's not like we won't be loaded for the next two seasons. Very glad to see CSU win last night. I think there is pretty good BB being played in NE Ohio right now and this will get a good shouting war going between Akron and CSU. Quote
