Z.I.P.
For those who did not make the game, and are outside of the Cleveland media market -- where I presume the game was shown in its entirety. I wondered how much of the game was shown on TV for large chunks of the nation. Here in the islands (go to Kalifornia and take a Left turn), we saw only one or two minutes of the first half (one play where McNees missed a three and one of the McKnights scored a put-back in the lane, and then the last bit of the half). Then I could only watch the scores change on the top of the screen while pleading with CBS to switch to the Rose Garden. Finally, after seeing Akron go up by 5 and finally 6 points, the game came on with about 9:00 to play and I think Akron with their last lead at 55-54 or thereabouts -- and stayed on for the remainder of the game as our Zips' shooting went into the Columbia River and the team's chances into oblivion. I couldn't help thinking the show director must have been a Can't State grad! That at least is better then what Cleveland State received. I can't remember even what game was on, but if not for the scoreboard on top of the screen, you wouldn't have known CSU was playing, much less beating Wake, as not a single play of the game was shown here, and the announcers ignored it as if it were on another network. ksu sucks
I think your thoughts bring up the issues that CBS has trying to showcase all of these games. It bothers me that they have to do this whole musical chairs routine with all of the games. I don't care how long CBS has had it, ESPN needs to take over March Madness. doublezip
If you want to watch the entire game (or at least the first 30 minutes) you can go on cbsportsline and rewatch the Zips or any other game you want.

apalmison
Not much coverage in Indiana - just highlights during breaks. I watched all of it online, though. I agree that a broadcaster with more channels would be nice - like how NBC airs the olympics on MSNBC, NBC, CNBC, etc. But whatever...I'll take what I can get out here in Purdue/IU/Notre Dame country. The OSU game was on the primary CBS station (WOIO), but CSU was on WUAB in it's entirety.....at least I think. I didn't watch either game....... Blue & Gold
I'm no CSU fan, that's for sure. They're only a couple steps back from Can't. But I also felt they should have gotten more air time for their beat down of Wake. However, I was thrilled to see the Siena upset of Columbus State (which CBS showed instead, right?) Yesterday I believe CSU, Xavier and Dayton were all playing at the same time. I wasn't able to watch, but I believe CBS carried the CSU game against Arizona. MDZip
I set the DVR to catch the game while I was at it, and when I watched I when I got back, they only showed a few brief "look-ins" during the early part of the game but then switched over shortly after the last tie because all of the other games were concluded (or the outcome was not in question) since we were the latest start time of the 7 EST games. The bad part is that means the Mid-Atlantic area of the country saw only the worst part of the game (from our perspective) so it didn't leave a very favorable impression. Lots of folks I met were not only aware of the Zips but did have a favorable impression so at least we got that going for us.
Redleg2Signal
In Iraq, I got to see the whole game on the Armed Forces Network without interruption. Of course, it was 3 in the morning my time. Funny how guys like me halfway around the world get to see the whole thing when those in the States got pieces. GJGood
In the Columbus and Central Ohio region I was forced to watch online at March Madness On demand. They showed the Clemson-Michigan game here. If you ask me something just wasn't right about that. I mean here I am in the same city as Ohio State and I have to watch Michigan when an Ohio school is playing at the same time. This fact is even worse when you consider that Linhart, the McKnights, Hitchens, and Ronnie Steward are all from central Ohio and some of their biggest and longest tenured fans had only a sporadic chance to see them.Somebody capable of showing multiple games on the tube without an extra charge needs to get the rights to the tournament, whether it be ESPN, NBC, FSN or whatever. Was it really as crazy in Baghdad after the Zips win as was reported by FOX?
