WinZip
I know this is old, but I just wanted to hear the kid speak and see what he looked like:Hopefully he's gained some more excitement for the program at Akron. Thanks for the video!

Dave in Green
The last new comment I saw about a week ago on a KY forum was that since Euton had said that he and his parents would be making a decision in the “coming weeks,” and since the fall signing period for basketball is Nov. 11-18, maybe that's when we should look for the decision to become public. It seems that Dakotah Euton is for all intents and purposes a carbon copy of Josh Egner, who has already verballed. Does anyone see any significant difference in the two games? SO, if they're the same thing, why do we need two of them? Is it possible that either Akron is not as high on Euton as has been believed, or that if Euton DOES verbal, that Egner becomes redundant -- to use a mostly British euphemism? Hip, hip. Zip Watcher
From the little I know .. completely different players. Enger is a pretty athletic guy that can play above the rim and bang inside. Euton a shooter / scorer a little closer to the floor. We'll pretty much have the answers in about a week I'd guess. Blue & Gold
Exactly. From all I've read, Egner is your high-energy, slashing, athletic, above-the-rim type of player, while Euton is your more polished, outside-shooting, fundamentally sound, if less-athletic type player. Zipmeister
Sounds like if we got both we would have a miniature version of UK's King (Rick Robey) and Kong (Manchester High product, Mike Phillips) show.

Dave in Green
As stated earlier, Dakotah seems like a perfect fit for KD's system, and I was hoping he arrived at the same conclusion during his visit. From reading this story, apparently that's exactly what happened. I have a good feeling that he will be a big contributor to the Zips future success. Quickzips
Great pickup. Euton is the perfect compliment for a guy like Zeke. A guy who can stretch the floor and create space underneath for him to work. I don't know about you guys but I'm thrilled to have him on board. The only question I have now is where is the scholly coming from?

Z.I.P.
Louisville paper reports he's coming to Akron!http://www.courier-journal.com/blogs/demli...ah%20Euton.htmlAnd the GOOD NEWS is, he's NOT a carbon copy of Josh Egner. They have two completely different games. As different as night and day. As different as Andy and Bryan Hipsher. Well, that may not be the best example... And may cause Captain an apoplexy. Valpo Zip
That's great news. With Zeke, Dambrot showed that he can land "a" great recruit. With Dakotah, he is proving that Zeke wasn't "a" fluke and that it is becoming the norm for Akron to recruit at this level.I am starting to feel bad for the rest of the mac though. Will we have any competition in 2 years from today?
