Why does it seem that every year Akron opens their season with a team that has already played a game? I still say thats why we lost to UALR a few years back.Therefore, due to nerves and whatnot and the fact that APSU will not be very intimidated after being in Knoxville's sea of orange I think this game will be closer than it should be, or would be if it wasn't the opener.APSU 69Akron 76

They'd better win this one. This season is personal. We've got an amazing lineup with this year's team. For all the potential that these guys have, they should be making a very, very deep run in March. Having said that, you can never look further than next game's opponent. AP is a team that we should make an immediate statement against.I think we work out some kinks in this one but still win in true Akron style.Zips 68 Governors 52 As a sidebar: I think the big guy makes an immediate impact. He's easily the biggest fan favorite since Rome and Dru and I'm convinced he's going to find his way to a quadruple double at some point during his time here. Good luck this season Zips! I think the zips may have a little but not much troule in 1st brushing the dust off and getting rid of any home opener nerves. But I don't see this game being close beyond the 1st quarter. Zips 70 Govs 58

Are you related to the Zipmeister by chance? I think the Zips win by 10, AP used to be a pretty good team but they seem down this year. I think its great that Tim Carroll got a start, kid must have been working his butt off with all of the talent we have on the team. I think holding out Zeke from the start is a pretty good move too (but I want to see hm soon ).
