infofan
Im sorry to be critical but how can a division 1 program not have equipment to properly broadcast games. Anyone who heard any of the NC State game and its "technical difficulties" knows what I mean. Well guess what- that was far better than todays game. A bad phone connection- barely audible. So bad 1350 pulled the plug at 1pm and replaced it with fox sports. Just disgracefull that this happens. Its bad enough how the teams play but now we cant even hear the game due to equipment problems. Not French'es fault. Bad radio coverage, inaudible content, poor play equals a bad recipe for building a major program.

Apparently injured his throwing arm following a sack. That's unfortunate, hopefully it's not that bad. I look forward to 3 more years of Nicely vs Keith. Valpo Zip
So this game wasn't a pretty one. In no way did i walk out saying "wow! we have a great team" but we mannaged to pull the first "W" of the season, always a good thing. We're still strugling at the FT line and we still have a lot of players underperforming. The difference was: the underperformers sat on the bench and didn't get a lot of minutes. (that's just a personnal opinion, no hate against any body).Another difference: Humpty realized the lack of leadership and decided to take on that role himself... and man did it work.If i have to give performance awards in this game, it will go as follows:Best rebounder: Zeke (C-Mac comes second)Best ball handler: Humpty (Cventinovic comes second)Best Defender: HumptyBest playmaker: HumptyBest scorer: Humpty (Maclannahan is a close second)Best leadership: Humpty (Darryl is a close second)I thought the following two clips are worth uploading. The first is the players intro and the second is the last 45 seconds of the game.
MDZip
Sorry about being so critical earlier. You were only being critical of the fact we couldn't hear the game because of poor equipment. Frenchie even thanked a guy from Auburn who loaned them stuff so they could get back on the air. Dang, if we had just held on against AP we could be looking at a 3-1 start. If wishes were ... 1350amWARF
We're just as frustrated as you. A few seasons ago the production of the games was moved to a third party. We simply pick up a feed from a provider in Winston-Salem. Football has been smooth as we've been sending a producer to all home and away games to check, install/setup and operate equipment. We've offered to do the same for Basketball. Apparently in Daytona, there were issues with the special phone lines used to reach NC. Today 11/29 the Basketball game did not get on until 23 minutes after the pregame started because the feed from Akron to Winston Salem and back to Akron did not work. The only audio we produce in house in Zips Live and Women's Basketball. -KeithFox Sports 1350am PS: Zips Live on Monday should be interesting. I mean, I hear the play, then two plays later I see the play. OR, the video feed has no audio at all.So I usually have to sign on twice, once for the video and once for the audio. Sometimes I watch the video and listen to 1350 and it is closer to real time. For a Division I school this is really pathetic, ESPECIALLY since I pay for the service!
