jaycevs
Flying A was the best by far. I also generally like old school, my favorite NFL are both New York teams for the classic look, Chicago, etc, but these are sweet. This is the Oregon helmet I was talking about. zip81
I've never liked the donkey logo.I don't mind the donkey logo. I think it"s pretty cool, but at the same time I've always liked the retro "flying A" that was on the players helmets in the Jason Taylor days? Correct me if I'm a wrong. There was another "Action A" from the Faust era. I'm trying to find one.

cms133@uakron.edu
There was another "Action A" from the Faust era. I'm trying to find one.I think I know what you're talkin about. Is it the A with horizontal lines coming off of it? If so, that was the retro A I was talking about. I searched google for Akron Zips helmets and found a picture of some blonde girl in a football helmet about to flush the camera

ksu sucks
This thread is really showing the generational gap on ZNO. Personally, the old A logo looks pretty dumb to me. But then again, I'm 19, so go figure.

But then again, I'm 19, so go figure.I'M 19!!! but I've always kinda liked retroish stuff I guess. I think some of the Oregon jerseys are awesome, like the ones they wore in the BSU game. And I'm not trying to insult any of the Ak-Oldies by calling these logos "retro" either, haha. No disrespect.

Can't's are the worst.

Can't's are the worst. The site is nice, but they're missing our helmet from the 1979 season. It was only used one year, thankfully. I sent the helmet site these pictures from my junior-year yearbook to provide documentation, but they never added this helmet.

Anyway, I like modern logos, but I just think the shoulder crossing the "A" on the donkey logo is a bit of a reach. They can do better than that. RootforRoo44
I don't care too much for the big "O" either, but the fight song pinstripes are original and bad ass.here's one close up I found. You can kind of tell the stripes aren't just lines.Yeah i saw this one, didn't think it showed it enough but blown up i guess you can see it better. I can't think of anything cooler than pinstripes that are the fight song, has to be the best baseball jersey ever.
zippyrifle32
I'm actually kind of surprised no one has given me flack for posting a blown up picture of a man's crotch on a mostly-male sports fan board but that really was the only one I could find... Captain Kangaroo
A "Moving A" story -A few weeks after the new logos were introduced (2002?) I' was sitting in the stands watching a game with Faust-era former Zips LB Brian Hilk. Hilk asks: "Do you like the new logo (Roo Head)?"Reply: "Yeah. It is pretty cool."Hilk: "I hate it."Reply: "Why?"Hilk: "Because I have the old one tattooed on my leg!"
